Not now, pneumonic plague!

Kevin Rothrock@kevinrothrock.me

Russian authorities still haven't confirmed reports that a 28-yr-old woman in Shelekhov died of pneumonic plague. But the local hospital is quarantined, a nearby city briefly warned residents not to travel there, & local pharmacies are running short of key antibiotics. t.me/Baikal_Peopl...

Hearing this Choosing Texas song for the first time, as far as I can tell, and uh, okay, sure, I guess it's a song all right. I'm glad people are enjoying it, I think?

The last sentence in that description is very funny to me, a person who never spanked his kids (and now they're too old anyway), because that's not what I really answered. On a scale of 1-6, I went with 3, weighted towards not hitting your kids? But I guess that led to a "ban this thing" answer

Oh man, Ultra Sur doing something idiotic and racist? You don't say! Me being on Team Vinicius feels weird, of course, but also it's correct and fuck Ultra Sur and fuck anti-immigrant and racist sentiments. Good on Vinicius, Mbappe, and Konate (and good on Barça for not wearing the shirst at all).

Barcelona honor Carles Naval, the longtime delegate who has been a familiar face on the club’s sideline for 40 years ❤️ 💙 A Culer through and through 👏

Also...I am so purely middle aged now that I have begun coin collecting. So whenever you say "shouldn't Isaiah be writing about Barça?" you can answer your own question with "yes, but he's [building Lego/sorting coins], the big ol' nerd"

The Livakovic deal is one of those ones that is being forced through right now despite it not really making sense simply because of the Camp Nou closure next year. Feel like this explains so much of Barça's transfer movement this summer and it's hard not to see it.

We're pushing for Julian, etc simply because we have to do it now or wait 2 years. This explains trying to push out Balde, Cortes, and anyone else who is even *maybe* surplus to requirements. I don't have to like it! You can't make it! But at least it has some logical to follow.
