How will you spend Trump's birthday? Lots of demonstrations and concerts planned around the country this Sunday. Check Indivisible's website for events near you.

Indivisible ❌👑@indivisible.org

Trump is desperate for attention on his 80th birthday. Instead, Sunday will be a night of localized organizing around the nation — featuring Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Julia Roberts, Lily Gladstone, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Sasha Allen, Peppermint, and many more friends of the First Amendment.

Human rights and legal rights are for ALL of us. Good work from the lawyers, activists, and other leaders who are fighting to ensure we retain our rights.

Lawyers Are Building Infrastructure to Fight Trumps Deportation Machine truthout.org/articles/law... Habeas corpus, the right to challenge your detention before a judge, is one of the oldest rights in the U.S. legal system. for many of the immigrants in ICE jails, accessing that right is impossible

Contaminated food, rancid water, and no access to health care — these are the horrifying conditions at the Delaney Hall detention facility, where ICE agents pepper sprayed Senator Andy Kim for trying to do his job.

America seems to be going backward and getting worse. More hatred, fear, division, abuse, racism, corruption, people losing rights. At the same time, more people are becoming politically and socially active. They're showing up and showing they care. We support them -- and rights for ALL.

It's okay to feel discouraged. Who wouldn't? It's also good to see so many people throughout this country stand up for human rights. Hats off to this protesting group! Go to www.eachstephome.org if you'd like to donate to families in Dilley.

Standing before the White House to demand we close the concentration camps where roughly 70K people are now forced to endure horrific conditions by virtue of who they are, not anything they've done. #CloseTheCamps #BringThemHome

We want to thank everyone who participated in May Day events. No work, no school, no buying, attending protests, calling your representatives, whatever you might have done, big or small, every little bit helps. Thanks for staying in the fight. Everything you do matters. Strength, courage, and hope!🩷

May the forest be with you. 🌲 This May 4th, join the rebellion for clean air, protected wild places, and a planet worth fighting for. The force is strongest in nature.

Our Waukesha Resist friends are right. We can't allow this. We must keep speaking out and pressuring our representatives. ICE detention is inhumane.

Waukesha Resist@lizanne4077.bsky.social

How can we as a society allow this? Internal ICE records reveal widespread use of force in detention centers The reports detail how guards have increasingly used chemical agents and physical tactics on detainees, including groups demanding adequate water, food and medical care. WaPo

Reminder that parks and nature are essential for all!

Trump’s proposed budget guts the National Park Service’s budget by 25 percent, amounting to a staggering $736 million cut. Why is he so determined to ruin our national parks, once described as “America’s best idea”? Follow the money. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS7IJaB5NDc

Lots of protests happening tomorrow. If you're free, consider joining in. Indivisible has a list on their website to find an event near you.

DHS is moving to lock thousands of people in massive detention warehouses — disappearing them from their families, their lawyers, and their communities. This Saturday, we’re taking to the streets to make it clear that Americans stand for dignity, justice, and the rule of law.

Who's in? May 1st, no work, school, or shopping!

Indivisible ❌👑@indivisible.org

Find out how you can participate in the nationwide day of economic disruption on May 1 and learn more about the strategy behind economic noncooperation at the upcoming May Day training call.

ICE engages in inhumane and illegal behavior. Minneapolis residents (and kind people across the country) are standing up to the cruelty with its opposite. Affirming compassion, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. We welcome immigrants. We love our neighbors. We won't tolerate fascism.

Waukesha county folks, have you attended a rally yet? If not, consider it. Maybe you've never thought of yourself as a protester. You might be surprised. Standing up for your beliefs and for others can be energizing and increase hope. It's good to be with others who feel the same. And it's fun!

Waukesha Resist@lizanne4077.bsky.social

Get ready, pro-democracy folks! May 1 we show our strength. If possible, please join us. No school, no work, no purchasing anything. We say NO to the Trump regime. We say NO to authoritarian rule.

Indivisible ❌👑@indivisible.org

May Day is a structure test for the strength of the pro-democracy movement. It is more than showing up on a Saturday. @ezralevin.bsky.social and @katiephang.bsky.social talked about the upcoming day of economic disruption. Trump threatened genocide. Ending an entire civilization is genocide. And the rest of our government, including our Republican congress, did nothing to stop him. We must remove Trump from office or we are all complicit. We cannot condone this. Keep speaking out and calling your reps.

I wrote and posted this to Instagram a couple of days ago and it became my most-read poem ever. I’m honored I get to feel big feelings alongside you all. I’m posting it here too and want to use this space more consistently. Hello friends ❤️

If you'd rather your taxes pay to educate children not bomb them, speak out. Let your reps know. Be sure your vote makes this clear. Once we're past the violence, corruption, and inhumanity of the current regime, we need a new dream for our future -- and we all need to pitch in to make it happen!

This war ends in one of two ways: 1. Iran is decimated, and we destroy the world economy. 2. The 25th Amendment is invoked, and Trump is removed from power. (Our last possible off-ramp) We are watching a demented fascist push us toward World War III in real time.
