Yes, I’m glad no one was seriously injured, but the tone deafness of last night’s event was astonishing. A room full of elite, millionaire media people sitting next to millionaire politicians at a time when people can’t afford rent, groceries, gas, college, etc. It’s grotesque.

Our politicians, especially Republicans, have gaslit us since the end of WWII, telling us that we don’t deserve and can’t afford universal healthcare, universal childcare, lifetime public education and retraining, etc. It’s all BS. Going forward, let’s make things like this a basic requirement.
