Not posted for a while - been busy with house renovations and a sick parent. Happily, all progressing well now!

Glad to see our wall has been handy for snowball fights 😀❄️

@ijakk2.bsky.social Happy new year!

In Wales we measure things in units, to give you an idea of the scale we use, here’s a small and big unit.

Woop woop #scarlets

Himself was muchly perturbed after proudly telling me he’d Wordled in 2 😂 @alunrod.bsky.social

@neilhannon.bsky.social Thank you for a fab night in Swansea - it was just what we needed! (Loved ‘Invisible Thread’)

Beautiful sunset after a few stormy days

Just watched #ABigBoldBeautifulJourney in the cinema, with my husband of 34 years. On the way out, the music playing in the foyer was our wedding song!!! WHAT??? If I hadn’t cried enough before the film finished….🥰 (We did take a moment there and then! 🧑‍❤️‍💋‍🧑)

💪

Day 254 of #365DaysOfSmiles It's always helpful to have a short friend

"That's me, that is."

Hey @malpope.bsky.social …a lovely shout out for you from the fabulous #ElioPace tonight x

This a million times

It’s taken 23 years and $890 million but a Scottish company you’ve never heard of believes it has created the first safe and affordable drug which can slow the progression of Alzheimer’s. But will the UK’s medicines regulator give it the green light? open.substack.com/pub/rorycell...

What a beautiful moon tonight!

I know people will know but for people who don’t know, kids eat free at Pizza Express and Bill’s during the school holidays. As I have discovered in the last week during the school holidays.

One veeery looong train!

The Welsh lion is an incredibly rare member of the big cat family. Found in the savannahs of West Wales it can take single handedly down an antelope. Sadly there are no antelopes in West Wales so it has to make do with tins of Pedigree Chum.

Our osprey chicks Darach and Breac have been testing their wings with lots of flapping and helicoptering in the last few days. They may take their first proper flights any time! Who will go first? Watch them live here.👉 buff.ly/VKOC3h2 #ArkaigOspreys #LochArkaig #ospreycam

Porthcawl’s Coney Beach amusement park will close for good in October after more than 100 years. www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-n...

Beautiful sunset tonight

This one's causing a gammon implosion on Facebook 😂

Well, it’s a last push to box up the bottom half of the house before we depart for @hayfestival.bsky.social 🥳 Newly retired, it’s the first time we’re doing the whole festival - it’s been a long time since the school hall - and cannot wait!! (Then it’s home to project manage our extension 😱)

I’m old fashioned enough to think the BBC should be leading on what the deal is and what it means. Rather than the political claims from both sides.

Day 127 of #365DaysOfSmiles Kids!

About to head home after a fabulous 10 days in Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Ljubljana a highlight as well as the stunning Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. Mostar was beautiful in B&H. Looking to return to the Balkans in future.

Lubljana ❤️

Tactical voting doesn’t just mean voting for Labour everywhere, that could actually split the vote in many places and let in Reform where you are Libdems, Greens, or Independents are best to keep out Reform in many places, check using the website by entering your postcode StopReformUK.vote /2

Check if you’re owed £100s energy credit back. Right now you get the cleanest indication of if you've too much credit (owt over 1.5mths of Direct Debit worth is likely too much) Courtesy of ‘The Martin Lewis Podcast’ where I go into it in far more detail. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

On this day in history 1974 the Price brothers from Tonypandy were the first twins to run a sub 4 minute mile. Following a night out in Pontypridd they left themselves 5 minutes to catch the last train home.

A lovely treat from our Florentine hotel

When in Italy, @alunrod.bsky.social and I play a game to spot the most nuns or vicars. After a super spot in Naples yesterday, I’m on 14 nuns and he’s on 2 priests. Onwards to Roma today…

Day 92 of #365DaysOfSmiles Cheeky Sheep

Never quite got your head around ISAs. It’s a piece of cake – just watch this Feel free to share www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7bW...

You’ve got to love translation apps! I picked up a driver’s ID card from the floor as I came through the gates into Ópera metro Madrid. No member of staff to be found! Screen shot of my predicament in Espanyol meant that when I found staff at the next station, we all understood each other 😃

@alunrod.bsky.social thought he saw a turtle on his dashboard- he did 😂 (We sadly couldn’t find a hare!)

Trump has now asked Elon Musk to examine US defence spending. Elon Musk’s companies have multi billion dollar contracts with the Department of Defense and are seeking more. The BBC’s Today Programme just reported the first part, without mentioning the second. Unacceptable

Lovely day at Ffôs Las races today, our first as new Annual Members - we even managed to present the winning owners of the second race with their trophy 😊

Had not seen a production of this since I was 14, on a school trip to London. Glad to see at least 2 schools there last night.

This post on rugby, #marketing genius, beer and French advertising laws has blown up. Rugby fan or not, this is a great story. #sixnations #FRAvWAL
