Before the referendum, Farage lied we need Brexit to be closer to the Commonwealth. Now we hear that Canada could become the EU’s first associate member and Australia is also seeking deeper ties with the EU. This is the reality of post-Brexit Britain. Present everywhere, but belonging nowhere.

Reform says it wants to take us back to “the country that was”. What a lie. They want to tear up institutions this country helped create, turn our backs on Europe and abandon the international order we helped build. That isn’t patriotism. It’s national vandalism.

We will not let them redefine Britain as angry, isolated and afraid. Britain should be liberal, internationalist and a beacon of democracy - a country that leads the world, not one that retreats from it. We want Britain. Not Trump’s oligarchic America with a Union Jack stuck on it.

It costs roughly £200K to show an ad to every adult in the UK on Insta, Facebook, X & Google. With £72m in crypto donations, Reform now has enough money to repeat this every week until 2029. Dodgy ads already shaped Brexit, we can't afford to let it happen again. We need to scale up our fight.

Reform has already polled at a level at which First-past-the-post could turn roughly three votes in ten into majority government ** Nearly 100 Labour MPs already support a commission into electoral reform. We need more to come out in support.

This is for people who might be disappointed that Count Binface lost in Clacton. Please don't. He won just 95 votes against Andy Burnham in Makerfield. In Clacton, he got nearly 100 times as many against Farage. Take that as a signal. Get your hopes up. Let's band together for the next fight.

Much of the coverage of the Clacton by-election has focused on Nigel Farage's self-serving and malign reasons for making this happen. But there is another part of the story that deserves attention: the severe deprivation experienced by some of the people living in the constituency.

More strikingly, it is one of only two neighbourhoods in the whole of England that fall within the most deprived 10% on every one of the seven IMD domains: income; employment; education, skills and training; health and disability; crime; barriers to housing and services; and living environment.

So this by-election not only exposes the political tricks Farage is playing for his own benefit, but also highlights how people in some of the most deprived areas are being used for political gain. It is sad, utterly objectionable and reprehensible - but most of all, it is undeniably unpatriotic.

A neighbourhood in Clacton constituency, the eastern part of Jaywick, was ranked the most deprived of all 33,755 neighbourhoods in England in 2025. It also ranked most deprived in 2019, 2015 and 2010.

What many of us don’t understand is why the Police have to expend resources trying to trace rather than insist those involved provide a clear evidence chain. Aren’t these people who meddle in our politics subject to our jurisdiction?

People feel disconnected from democratic process not only because gov'ts sometimes fail to deliver, but because they do not feel seen or represented, understand how decisions are made, or see how political choices shape their lives. For our democracy to recover, we must make that change happen.

Findings from focus groups before the Makerfield by-election pointed at several things voters wanted to see Andy Burnham do when he was elected. It's refreshing to see he has already delivered on one of these.

Andy Burnham wins Makerfield with a 20% lead over Reform UK. But this result wasn't just about Burnham. It was shored up by thousands of Green and Lib Dem voters who crossed party lines to keep the far-right out, delivering the Labour candidate an outright majority.🧵

This confirms Nigel Farage’s worst nightmare: that progressive voters have worked out how to beat Reform UK at the ballot box, just as they did with the Tories in 2024. Some are now saying he won’t be able to win a general election.

You can see it in the results. The Green and Lib Dem candidates picked up just over 1% of the total vote: A combined swing of over 10%, lent directly to Andy Burnham.

Two weeks till the Makerfield by-election! Like Gorton & Denton, this is a key opportunity for tactical voting. It worked to stop Reform before, and it can again. The evidence shows Andy Burnham is best placed to beat them, so we’re urging voters to back Labour on 18 June. Let's stop Reform.
