The next time the Mango Menace sneers at a reporter and asks, “Who are you with?” just respond, “I’m with the American people.”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that what we’ve got going here as USAmericans is a Jamestown-Plymouth mash-up: a puritanical separatist joint-stock company in business for the few at the expense of the many.

Has there EV-ER been a better time for a “President” to follow Thomas Jefferson’s example and inform Congress by letter? The Mar-a-Loco Menace could even use Sharpies…or crayons.

“Most journalism south of the border refers to this process as Trump’s “norm breaking.” The euphemism is wholly inadequate to describe what is really going on. Trump is not norm breaking, he is law breaking.”

Michael Harris: Given the gravity of Trump’s transgressions against freedom and brutal policies on health care, immigration and international law, it has become clear that the man who would be king should be removed from office as unfit to be president. Before it is too late. 🇺🇸 #uspoli

Trump for Pope, a third term, re-opening Alcatraz. These stories all serve a critical purpose. To distract from the story of our age: that the President of the United States is enriching his family with billions by running a corruption racket right out of the Oval Office.

This made me cheer. It gets directly at a problem I’ve often noticed: people don’t fundamentally understand what a historian *does*.

Reminder that instead of attending Donald Trump's first address to Congress tonight I'll be hosting an open-to-all town hall on Facebook live at 6 PM PT. You don't need a Facebook account – or to be an Oregonian – to tune in. Look forward to seeing you all soon.

We used to strive to be better than the White House showed today. Thank you, Pres. Zelensky, for picking up the torch of democracy.

⚡️ Zelensky thanks US for support after tense meeting with Trump. "Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit," President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X after his tense meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on Feb. 28.

Busted! But we knew that from the start.

The DOGE firings have nothing to do with “efficiency” or “cutting waste.” They’re a direct push to weaken federal agencies perceived as liberal. This was evident from the start, and now the data confirms it: targeted agencies overwhelmingly those seen as more left-leaning. 🧵⬇️

A quick resistance task: 1. Google Gulf of Mexico 2. “Gulf of America" is the top 3. Click on the three little dots to the right of it 4. Select "Send Feedback" 5. Click on "Gulf Of America" 6. Select "Inaccurate content" 7. Select "Incorrect" and type in "The correct name is “Gulf of Mexico"

Jim Acosta announces on air that he's leaving CNN and says, "it is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant ... don't give in to the lies."

Oh. So it’s okay for the Tangerine Tantrum to ignore SCOTUS with “official duties,” which they granted him. Just don’t enforce ruling against TikTok. Got it. Shades of Andrew Jackson telling John Marshall to stick it in Cherokee Cases. Nice work, “justices.”

CNN confirmed on-air just now that top Trump aides are furiously calling journalists to insist that Elon Musk has been following the orders of Trump rather than the other way around. As predicted, Trump is horrified and enraged at the idea that Musk is now seen as the President of the United States.

Are you kidding me with this shit, @washingtonpost.com? Top of the website headline, multiple stories, an editorial board piece and SIX goddamn columnists all had to weigh in about this?

The incoming administration has nominated a gang of sexual predators, vindictive psychopaths and utter incompetents to be the presidential cabinet and the Washington Post has gone full-court-press on the Hunter Biden pardon. Our political media is deeply, deeply broken.
