Apple should create a p2p websocket like protocol that uses airdrop. I could think of a few fun game ideas that could use this

I don’t trust and cloud dependent non FOSS software. Eg. Spline hana. I would love to be able to local host the canvases, but I can’t. Also do I really own my stuff if spline can just take it away?

Kidnapping is illegal. Free all the “criminals” in prisons. They’re not there out of free will. (This is obviously a joke)

Don’t vibe code… Vibe prototype instead, using LLMs to get a basic proof of concept, and then build it yourself. [🧵1/2]

Torrenting is a way to share files using peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. Instead of downloading from one source, you get bits from multiple users at once. A torrent file or magnet link tells your client where to find peers. It’s fast, decentralised, but can be illegal if used for piracy. [🧵2/2]

Arc hasn’t gotten any meaningful updates in ages. Arc is dead. BCNY should either FOSS it or finish it. Fix performance and other issues.

I am happy to say the "Followers only" reply setting is getting implemented. We're also adding a way to set default reply settings If you want your posts to default to "Followers only," that'll become an option

So in the past two days, I’ve seen people from OpenAI complain about DeepSeek on the grounds that (i) the app might harvest some of your data and (ii) it might have copied a bit from them, and I’m really wondering how the tech folk imagine we all see their products.

The only way U.S. can compete is to brand overseas innovations as spyware and ban them in the U.S., while threatening other countries with sanctions if they do not buy U.S. products. A true sign of a fading and failing country...

a couple days ago I’ve been trying to get drizzle to work. I forgot I can just use bun sql. (I use bun and have used it since 1.0) I’m an idiot

Imagine if media literacy as a high school class. Literally teaching kids how to read and parse and fact check consumed media. I see no downsides. Maximum real life applicability.
