Minnesota showed us how it's done. We are not done. We are only starting to understand what organised resistance is and what it can do. There is SO MUCH that still needs protecting. Neighbours, systems, and institutions that must be preserved and rebuilt. Keep going. It's working.

This is a great start, but Minnesota and the rest of us must still be vigilant, active, and committed to nonviolent direct action. We must still defend our neighbours against the remaining ICE presence, provide safe havens, warn people of raids, etc. What started in Minnesota works. KEEP GOING.

So Texas Republicans have now set up a TIP LINE to rat out the Texas Democrats So PLEASE, for the sake of the public, DO NOT FLOOD THIS NUMBER with tips on Bigfoot sightings, UFO sightings, or asking why Trump is on “the list” 1-866-786-5972 Thank you!

163.625 MHz: Often cited as a Nationwide primary channel for some federal law enforcement. 163.700 MHz, 163.725 MHz, 163.775 MHz: Tactical channels. 168.5875 MHz: Another common tactical channel. 171.250 MHz (R) / 162.9125 MHz (T): A repeater pair used by ICE.

The MAGA Machine relies on compliance. Military at the border? Soldiers can shut it down. Logging at National Forests? Logging employees can refuse to cut. But each action costs the individual long before it has a cumulative effect, and each seems ineffectual and small, so people don't bother.

Resistance means taking action. We are not yet so far gone that turning up the way they are in Istanbul is dangerous. We are not yet at Tiananmen Square’s massacre. But if we don’t show up now, that’s where we’re headed. The people in those places showed up despite the risk. We can do the same.

Watch some older TV--80s and 90s--and you can see how far round the bend the US has gone. All the progress we have made and all the ways that progress has been and is being erased. How well or poorly things aged, what we accomplished and where we failed. Or go further back. Same observations.

I don’t want to say it, but worse things are coming. Until people quit obeying illegal orders, all the judges‘ injunctions in the world will be meaningless. Unless people physically stop abuses, they won’t cease. Filming or putting on blast is a start—documentation is needed—but it isn’t enough.

Maybe all those America First people can pay attention now that it’s American lives being put at risk rather than just, you know, the lives lost to genocide in Gaza, human shields in Ukraine, detained immigrants, and people in countries vulnerable to climate change catastrophes.

Telling us that Trump is a felon and shouldn’t be in charge of things isn’t helpful. We knew and elected him anyway. You aren’t changing anyone’s mind by reminding us of his cheating, lying, first term shenanigans, etc. Focus on documenting new crimes and resisting illegal activities.

Welcome to autocracy. The Republic we have known for the last 240 years is gone. This is going to keep getting worse. Much worse. The courts mean nothing, the law means nothing, Congress is irrelevant. He is a malignant psychopath.

Took a few days off to detox, enjoyed the half time show that wasn't made for me, and now I am ready to get back to it. In case you missed it, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is now hosting medical data no longer available from the CDC. This is what resistance looks like.

Remember. It’s never: We fight for (these people) because maybe we’re more at risk if we don’t. No more Niemölling. We fight because they are coming for anyone. Every single person matters. Each and every human being’s life and safety is worth the fight.

"There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest." --Elie Wiesel RESIST. Show up today. #resist #protest #injustice #50501Movement

Prisons are overseen by grand juries, who regularly inspect them. This is how we ensure human rights and civil rights are protected. Critical external oversight keeps the system functional. Think there are any grand juries being flown to El Salvador?

Imagine saying this about an agency that has helped millions of people around the world avoid malaria, obtain clean water, and gain access to food & health care. Especially when you’re the world’s richest man & your net worth is something like 20 times this agency’s annual budget. What a foul soul.

The efforts to run roughshod over laws regarding agencies isn’t just about those agencies. It’s about making Congress irrelevant. A neutering of one of the three branches of government. And with it the overturning of checks and balances. This is fast tracking dictatorship.

So after some time off from politics--by which I mean a day because I was busy volunteering--I find I am way behind. The news cycle is just so fast. Tariffs, another plane crash, a bunch of sports stuff, Duke beat Carolina (yeah!), and did I mention tariffs? Holy moly.

I spent the day doing search and rescue. Just a bunch of people coming together to help strangers on their worst day. In the cold, almost all volunteers—people aren’t all bad. Today was long and hard, but good for the soul. Keep helping others. People matter.

It's working. Keep resisting. Keep challenging. Contact your lawmakers, both federal and state. Know your rights. Know your lawyer. Memorise phone numbers. Don't rely on your tech.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez@aoc.bsky.social

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

I'm not dead, just sleeping. My body is not up for much today. But I am still here, still paying attention, and even managed to fire off a note to my governor. There is work to be done. We can achieve it. If we don't, people will die, so we must. RESIST.

I'm supposed to be sharing pictures of travel and horses. Instead I am posting about a president pulling the most dictator moves ever and people cheering him for it. It's maddening. But necessary. Find joy in your hobbies. Then come back and FIGHT LIKE THE WORLD IS ON FIRE.

It isn't guilt. It's grief. It wasn't my fault it happened, but it is MY responsibility to do everything in my power to prevent its repetition. Have I done that today? Have I contacted my legislators? THAT is how I remember and honour those murdered. By fighting for the living. #HolocaustRemembrance

Nailed it. Now it’s time to stand behind Palestinians trying to return to what is left of their homes.

“The Democrats didn’t do enough on Gaza, so I withheld my vote to make a statement.” “Well, Trump won and now he’s gonna destroy Gaza.” “Yep. We’re paying the price for the Democrats’ incompetence.” “‘We?’ The Gazans are paying the price, not us” Pause. “I needed to make a statement.”

Today is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. But before Auschwitz were hundreds of steps, chances for people to stop it. Policy now will KILL PEOPLE. But we can stop it. Show up. Speak out. Do not obey in advance. PEOPLE WILL DIE. But fewer if we RESIST. #HolocaustRemembrance

Democrats, selling out and standing for nothing in the name of the illusion of unity that nobody but you believes is why nobody votes for you. Many of you have sold out your constituents and, worse yet, you have paved the way for the next atrocities. You are complicit.

Write your Senators and Representatives, both national and state. DEMAND to know the fates of those detained by ICE. If we put pressure on the government and let them know they can't take our neighbors without a fight, we can at least slow them down and prevent the worst excesses.

If we take to theatres and showing to protest every time someone is taken from our neighborhood, we can make them think twice. Don’t believe me? The Nazis upped their deportations when nobody said anything. We need to flood the inboxes of our leaders and take to the streets. Use specific names.

This post is unavailable.

Has anyone followed up with those rounded up in New Jersey? We can and should be outraged at their detention, and we should talk about the act of detention. But we should not lose sight of the fates of the people who were arrested. We should be protesting for their immediate release.

For those who aren't familiar, read up on the Rosenstrasse protests in 1943. If it worked that far into WWII in Nazi Germany, think what we could accomplish now. And read up on the way the Nazis watched reactions to early deportations. Think how many could have been saved. We still have time.

Someone told me that she was following my posts on another platform and sharing them with a friend who wasn't on the platform. The friend called her to tell her to thank me. Your reach is bigger than you know. Keep speaking out.

If birthright citizenship didn’t exist, here’s who would be citizens: people who can trace their family to the signing of the Declaration (the DAR crowd) and those who were recently naturalised (post 1906). A huge percentage of citizens are so because their ancestors got birthright citizenship.

It‘s already happening. If you see this, film it. Step in and question while someone else films. Remember, EOs don’t trump the Constitution.

Right out of the gate they are detaining U.S. citizens and saying their “papers”are fake. It was always a lie.
