Go check this out! Several early testers found it pretty helpful and it gave them some good insights into some CSS features that they were using in a non-progressively enhanced way.

@bram.us @tabatkins.com CSS Question @โ€‹property does not seem to affect variables inside @โ€‹function body (chrome 151). You can workaround it by (mis)using arguments - but it feels hacky. Is this a bug or? PS. might we one day be able to do simple types like .elm { --color <color>: red; }

Syntax aside, would you want layers that can win from unlayered styles as Dave describes here? Favorite this post to cast your vote. RT to reach more people.

what about `@reyal` that works the opposite of `@layer` where un-reyal'd styles are the weakest?

I would really appreciate a job since I have about 30 days left to survive. Nothing has worked out for a while now. Been living in hostels in SE Asia for over a year. Full stack js, Staff Engineer or PM, react, astro. Many senior positions, consulted for Apple Wireless on their data dashboards, etc

If one second equals 1 USD 1 million ~ 12 days 1 billion ~ 32 years 1 trillion ~ 32,000 years 36 trillion ~ 1,150,000 years Working at minimum federal wage ($7.25/h) it takes 15.7 million years to get to Elon Musk level 567 million years to pay off the US debt ...Do your own math ๐Ÿ˜‰

CSS functions are going to be awesome Fluid type scale in 3 lines of code ๐Ÿ˜ @bram.us I couldn't find it documented is the option to use other arguments as fallback/default value just how Chrome implemented it or is it per spec? --fn(--a <length>, --b <length>: var(--a)) Demo shorturl.at/l9eYw

Do you have any examples of sticky headers that shrink when you start scrolling? In the wild, demos, whatever, any examples... Stuff like a bigger logo/ heading, but then when starting to scroll, it all shrinks up. If you don't know of any, reposts appreciated. Thank you! ๐Ÿ™

Bluesky community! This is my official NYC mayor account. Iโ€™ll be posting updates on whatโ€™s happening at City Hall and how weโ€™re delivering for New Yorkers. Itโ€™s great to be here.

It is a bit ironic apples new liquid glass effect can be somewhat reproduced in chrome but not safari (because their SVG implementation sucks so bad) Not surprising when they have unresolved bug reports from 2009 (tell me you donโ€™t care without saying it)
