Fired right up. Runs smooth as butter and has a stable idle. We are so back.

This crimp connector actually failed on me, so I twisted the wires together and taped them up. Hopefully it holds for long enough for me to get through the week.

I wonder if this injector shorting has been the cause of my high idle and intermittent CEL? Either way, had to get a treat for a job well done. Guava jelly-filled tonight, pumpkin fritter for brekkie

what happened to the insulation? what cleaved straight through that injector wire? idk but now I have to either find 100ft of extension cord for my soldering iron or bodge it with a butt connector or something

🚨 The Oregon GOP is directly calling for violence against 🐸 costumed protesters. Remember that when you vote. 🗳️ (Not to mention weapons tests on immigrants)

Any fool can trick a bear by playing dead. But to captivate the bear by delivering one of the finest performances of Lear the stage has ever witnessed? That takes real skill.

We’re already seeing this proven by agentic AI. Half-baked software wreaking havoc on the infrastructure it depends on.

Rivian's CEO predicts that the self-driving future revolves around personally owned cars— not robotaxis. Indeed, surveys show that's what most ppl want. But it would be a disaster for cities/climate b/c personally owned AVs would massively expand car use and sprawl. techcrunch.com/2026/10/19/r...

finally ordered new tires for the SW20! options in my size range are so bad that I’m going back to Toyo Proxes R1Rs, but at least I won’t have to worry what happens if I have to panic-stop

obviously many more important takeaways from the French approach to protest, but much respect to the absolute varsity level Whimsy of throwing a whole ass piano at the cops

driving my tesla roadster, i ask grok to schedule a dentist appointment. it generates a gothic anime version of the dentist’s receptionist with huge tits that asks me if i want a cleaning. i get so hard my neuralink activates the tesla’s thrusters and i slam 90 mph into a wall killing me instantly

Chariot started misfiring out of nowhere today yayyy. Is it the new spark plugs? A failing camshaft position sensor? Don’t know because the CEL went away moments before I parked at home to pull flash codes

When Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens begins playing “Old Corn Liquor,” a traditional Black American folk tune, acclaimed Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man recognizes similarities to Chinese pentatonic music and spontaneously joins in. The joy on their faces says it all.

I could see a lifetime of Lemons project ideas through on this money. Evo X-powered Dodge Avenger. V10 Mercury Marauder. Vortec 8300 ‘90 Suburban. 4BT Saturn Sky. F136-swapped MR2. Chevy Cavalier fan car. Eagle Colt Vista Wagon touring car build. FWD Porsche 911 with the engine still in the rear.

question for the audience: if you were ultra rich (let’s say $25M), what completely frivolous thing are you buying?

oh yeah let’s 4G63T-swap a modern Challenger so it gets a better engine. and fuck it Hemi in that captive import Mitsubishi we got as the Challenger for a bit

And I’d still have money left over to build a Mitsubishi Expo with an Evo VIII drivetrain for Pikes Peak. Plus an all-carbon Grumman LLV with an ITB Chevy small block.

One month at a combination Vietnamese restaurant / bagel shop. Lady who owned it told me “anyone could run this place.” End of the month comes, she calls an emergency meeting and we come in to a gutted restaurant. She was a quarter mil in debt and the fire marshals seized the place. Check bounced.

Me trying to explain fascism to students: "A lot has to do with fear of supposedly stable gendered boundaries blurring, and how that maps onto racial and national hierarchies. But can I really say transphobia is the lodestone to fascism?" Aleksandr Dugin: "Ukrainians are collective transgenders."

sprinkled some AVB under the cheese on this morning’s toast and sat down to write. let’s see how far I get before I find out how potent this stuff is

Anyone need a genuinely *nice* story for this Wednesday? "Takahashi thought the lost barrel might be adrift somewhere on the Bering Sea by now. Or, he imagined an 'Alaskan bear wearing my down jacket or like, playing my flute...'"

cbc.caB.C. man reunited with beloved flute, 5 years after it floated away down a Yukon river | CBC NewsJun Takahashi was stunned when he saw the online post: someone in the Yukon bush had found a canoe barrel full of his mildew-y camping gear, and his long-lost flute.
