AwaD plan: i've said that i would start drawing a bugs from one golden age short. now my plan is to do so when i filled in every space on my first layer. i'll start with the short "Porky's Hare Hunt" and continue up to "False Hare." i'll maybe even watch the tunes and do a review of each one.

#inktober day 26: #zip poor little roadrunner never bothered anyone. just running down the road is his idea of having fun. #halloween #looneytunes

after i post my next inktober, i'll personally stop bugging you all about bauza's passing. i don't want to be a grifter. let us all fight to carry his spirit and energy, along with the energies of the other great people we have lost this year.

Not only an incredible talent, but a rare talent who also thought it was funny to just voice random memes every once in a while

Unbelievable loss. An amazing talent, and just a really, really good person. www.instagram.com/p/De8RFy4pyov/

Eric Bauza died at his home yesterday from hypertensive cardiovascular disease, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records.

last night i had my doubts that i could ever fulfill the purpose of "A wabbit a DAy." but after learning about eric bauza's sudden departure from this world, i'm continuing AwaD--goal and all--in memory of him. i wish this news were fake. but alas... #bugsbunny

the second drawing was originally going to be saved for when the skydance merger split (the reason AwaD STARTED), but i think i'll do a simple "that's all folks" instead.

I had the HONOR of seeing @suprdee2.com today and it was amazing. He even ended up drawing in my sketchbook! To honor those, today's Senior Buns 51 and 52 are me trying to recreate the pen sketch he did. I really tried to not use the Redo option and follow his freehand #Rosebuds #SeniorBun

or just speaking out at all. AwaD tried to be different to that because the "characters sulking" move also feels corny. at least to me it does. all AwaD's chalking up to be is, well, SOMETHING. i don't know the word for what the eventual plan is and i don't think i could care less.

creepy m
@cursivem.bsky.social

i may continue it impulsively, but right now as i type, i just have doubts. doing an art piece at all is already enough to leave these CEOs and executives' tights in a twist

i know somebody might bring up "what about inktober?" inktober is a daily challenge that only lasts until halloween. and ink52 is a WEEKLY thing. AwaD was supposed to end when the skydance merger dies, and for all we know it'll happen the same amount of time it took for WBD to die...

creepy m
@cursivem.bsky.social

...but i don't trust myself in pulling a wabbit out of my hat every day for 3 years, maybe longer. plus, i don't think this is a good way to protest skydance's existence. to give credit to those "characters sulking" drawings, it's actively speaking out against the merger by weaponizing its stars.

All the Rosebuds Sunday title panels so far. They've been really fun to do as an extra way to do random/semi-related illustrations since I don't have time to do them on my own.

#inktober day 23: #dapper got something with janet this time. she isn't usually one to dream of stardom, but a little recognition from time to time shouldn't hurt. if this were in color, i reckon the dress would be in gold #halloween #stardom
