Haven't updated this in a while. Oops. Uh, I beat Leda's part 1! Games been really strong still and I'm gonna keep plucking away at it slowly. Mixing in some Final Fantasy Resonance too I was wrong game got way easier after Chapter 6 LOL

Been getting real into Poker recently. Having a game that tells you the actual % chance of winning/losing a hand after it happens has done me irreparable psychic harm.

I might be in the bottom percentile of lucky humans on earth. Lost a tournament on 3 sub-10% flips in a row against apes who just send it on anything then booted up fire emblem and immediately lost a map to missing an 85% hit and dying to a 2% crit.

Rhythm games are actually pay to win. I bought a new monitor 240hz QD-OLED and oh my god it not only looks so much better but literally all my woes are gone. There's like no eye strain or motion blur anymore. Input latency is considerably lower. I feel like I could play for hours now.

Using withered technology to teach my children that video games used to make you feel something.

earlier today I unplugged the Series S I forgot I owned and plugged my reliable 360 slim into the living room tv. Welcome home buddy.

Summer Eternal is, by far, the most fascinating of all these ZA/UM spinoff projects I feel. My ass is broke and I want a new monitor but I dunno that big ass art book and vinyl sounds pretty cool.

Not my best play by far, but just so you see the hell I'm enduring. I'm clearly uncomfortable with parts and a bit keymashy still, and I'm also struggling with my wrists locking up near the end of the song causing big mistakes. It's also so fast that one mistake throws me off timing bad.

Yesterday I confidently felt like I was playing the best I ever had in Rhythm Games in my entire life. Today I spent 30 minutes restarting a single song over and over trying to hit a 95% accuracy average in it and am mentally and physically destroyed. My wrist hurts and all I got was a 93%. I suck.

also the recording looks weird because I play at 144fps but it is recorded at 60fps and I think I should have also used a higher bitrate for encoding but oh well.

One of, if not, the greatest Rhythm game on the market if you're a keyboard style player is on sale for pennies and you should get it. This is my goto as someone who plays a ton of 4key games. It has a trillion DLCs but you can regularly get them for like pennies on the dollar.

You know, I think in a benevolent universe there were no ethical or environmental concerns about AI and it also wasn't explicitly made with the intent to steal jobs, vibe coding could have been a really neat thing to stimulate curiosity and interest in programming.

But Assembly is hard and it was super discouraging and I eventually gave up. Then in highschool I started learning javascript which is much easier, and sent me down the path of eventually going to college to become a software engineer.

I would have KILLED for something that could make basic scripts like that just to see what could be possible and how. It's the exact type of thing I'd have needed to make me curious enough to keep going. Just being able to see fully formed code that worked to poke and prod at.

When I was 14 and got my first laptop that was my own I tried to learn programming for romhacking. At the time tools were really simple and you basically needed to know assembly in order to do almost anything not covered by Advance Map or YAPE. Idk if it's easier now

Alright inititial impressions roundup: 1) Guest units redistributing their EXP is goated thank you IntSys. 2) I'm only like 3 major story fights deep and Leda's route already has so many queer undertones. Mu practically simping for every pretty woman is adorable. Also Olympia and Leda my beloved.

I have known Guzran for about 30 minutes but I love him and I would die for him. Also I already praised it before the thread but the character writing in this game just feels so incredibly strong. I got Sirocco's B supp with Buccar and immediately it's like "Oh there's so much more to him huh?"

Think I might start a Fortunes Weave thread because I'm absolutely smitten with this game. I think it's going to overtake Pragmata as my GOTY. The writing so far has just been absolutely incredible. It's been a step above Three Houses in every way and I JUST played that game so it's still fresh lol

Man sometimes supporting independent artists is really hard. I've run into so many situations where the stickers/art prints/chains I'm looking at end up costing less than the shipping, but they only have 1 or 2 things I want so then it's really tough to justify 😭

It's really hard to coordinate but I wish there more things like the Uma community online pop up shop a bunch of people put together last year. I was able to buy from like 5 artists in one go and since it all delivered from one place I saved tons in shipping fees.

That Max Verstappen vs 100 kart racing red bull event was really fun. I appreciate that for a short moment there was an event so silly in concept it even got all my friends to be invested in motorsport for a minute.

Everytime I see KoF XV gameplay I can't help but hype it up. It really is just one of the best fighting games ever made man. And it's so frustrating anytime I want to talk about it now it must be done with a caveat about the Saudis.

I'm like 15 minutes into the english translation patch of Madou Monogatari and this game has immediately charmed me with its presentation and writing. I always loved the Puyo Puyo Tetris games' story modes but always assumed their goofy tone was just due to it being a lighthearted puzzle game.
