I had a call with my dad earlier and he is so happy and surprised that I love baseball as much as I do. I adored baseball from about 1986 to 1994. Then there was the strike. I did not care about baseball again until 2000 when I moved to Boston. And to be fair, it was really 01 when I got back in

I just got to deal with a very pleasant customer service person and it was just a delightful interaction. Then at the end before I headed out, I said, "thank you for being 10 lbs of sunshine in a 1 lb bag" I don't know what made me say it but she really enjoyed it

Happy 55th Birthday to the Great Pedro Martinez who pitched for the Red Sox from 1998-2004, going 117-37 with a 2.52 ERA, 190 ERA+ and a 53.8 WAR. With the Sox he won 2 Cy Young’s, finished 2nd twice, 3rd once and 4th once.
