Watching retrospectives on 9/11. Part of me can respect former president Bush. He is a fellow Texan and my former Governor. I didn't vote for him, but I could respect him personally. But we turned away from Bin Laden and Al Qaeda to focus on attacking Iraq. That was a huge mistake. SMH

We'd have been much better off if Al Gore was president then. Would have focused on Afghanistan and Bin Laden. Big kaboom, payback, we find bin Laden quicker. And Iraq and Iran probably would have held each other in check.

So let’s see. Gas is above $4/gallon, we’re in week 21 of Trump’s war with Iran, inflation is outpacing wage growth, and Trump regularly humiliates the US globally and also falls asleep on camera multiple times per week…

Well...I said before that Trump needed a "special episode" of his presidency reality TV show, to follow up on the Pres. Corr Dinner. Now the MAGA crowd is saying that the Air Force One swicheroo from the NATO Summitt was Trump's brilliance avoiding a "Deep State takedown." SMH 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Turnout for Trump's "American State Fair" is low. Approval ratings in the gutter...mid terms coming up... Anybody want to place bets on another Correspondents Dinner-type "incident" occurring?

Trump's being embarrassed by the reflecting pool nonsense. Sounds like it mught be time for another "assassination arrempt" episode for the reality TV show president. SMH

The most incompetent president in American history now wants to arrest people for "vandalizibg" the reflecting pool in DC. Biggest CYA move I've ever seen. Find the vandals responsible? Start by looking in the mirror, Trump. In fact, start and end there.

So, Trump's big MMA birthday party fit for a 17 year old is disliked by the public, and now we learn that the US stopped an attempted terror attack? Drones and gunmen? Seems a little too convenient to counter bad PR for the White House. (1)

On a documentary on 9/11, as people were fleeing the pentagon, one military officer said there was a rumor about gunmen ready for the fleeing people. Sounds a little too parallel to Trump's birthday party to me. Change the headlines...*again*. (2)

The Right loves to say that Jimmy Carter was the worst president ever because of the Iran Hostage Crisis and the economic concerns then. Now, Trump is in a quagmire with Iran and is killing the US economy as a result. Seems clear Trump is the worst ever president.

CBS News is now very Trump friendly. Today it posts videos previewing an interview with Jill Biden that will air on CBS Sunday morning. Ssme day, Trump makes fresh posts btagging about acing the Montreal Cognitive Exam. The cynical might see a connection. SMH

Trump is bragging about the Montreal Cognitive Assessment test AGAIN. I watched my Dad take that test. And fail it. I will hate Trump for the rest of my life just for this. I'm a Christian and we're supposed to forgive, but I'm going to always struggle with forgiveness on this.

Paxton defeats Cornyn in the runoff for Texas' US Senate GOP nomination. As native Texan (and lifelong moderate Democrat), all I can say is, I guess we'll see. The thinking is that Paxton will be easier for Dem James Talarico to beat. I've been burned by that mindset before. We'll see.

After Jan 6, I don't trust this White House in any way, shape or form. And Trump thinks of everything thru "ratings." I don't trust any such "shooting" type incidents involving this White House. It's all one big production to Trump, and it's fine as long as he gets the ratings. SMH

The White House Correspondents Dinner Shooting happened as Trump's Iran War was going badly. Changed the headlines. Now, Trump makes the slush fund to pay Jan 6 insurtectionists. New headline needed. And another shooting near the president. Quite a coincidence. Or not. SMH

Sounds funny, right? Here's the problem: Trump's idea on the Maduro raid came straight from the Harrison Ford movie "Air Force One." We know he's familiar with the movie because he used the film's theme song in the campaign.

Trump is offering taxpayer money to "compensate" the January 6th insurrectionists. Will he be offering part of that money to the descendants of Benedict Arnold, too? Or, descendants of the Rosenbergs?

And so, today Trump goes on and on about the cognitive test AGAIN. I've seen it sdministered. To my Dad. But now, everybody will be throwing around dementia AGAIN. My Dad died with dementia. I'm supposed to be a Christian, but I'm out of grace for Trump on this. 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬

Apparently the account that posted that is a fake Truth Social account. All right. That's better than the post being really from him. But he has brought this issue into the national spotlight and highlighted it before. 😡

It wasn't a fake account. He really said it. He really "truthed" it. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Many Americans are choosing which groceries they can afford this week, meanwhile Trump today was choosing between marble and onyx for his ballroom. Man of the people!

If one watched Trump, you'll know that basically everything he does in the presidency in public view is something he's seen on television or in movies. The government shutdown in 2018-2019 was clearly a theatrical move. He saw it with Clinton in the 90's. (1)

I will always believe that Trump's attack on Venezuela to get Maduro came from the movie Air Force One (Harrison Ford, 1997). In that film, US Special Forces captured a rogue leader trying to ressurrect the Old Soviet Union. Trump used the theme music from AF1 at his rallies! (2)

Pretty clear now that Trump hasn't seen a movie giving him ideas on Iran. He has no idea what to do. So he tries a blockade of Iran's blockade. Saw that in the movie Thirteen Days (2000). Pretty clear Trump is clueless on what to do there now. (3)

It goes without saying that the real reason, the only reason, for the Comey indictment is that back at the beginning of Trump's first term, Trump invited Comey to a dinner where he pressured Comey to swear personal loyalty to him (instead of the Constitution) and Comey refused.

If one believes there's a lot suspicious at the WH Corr. Dinner (and I do), then it would seem the next phase is in motion. James Comey has bern indicted for a social media post. Days after the WHCD incident. I'm sure it's just coincidence. 🙄 /end sarcasm

Well, if any attendees of the White House Correspondents Dinner have any concerns about dealing with an active shooter situation, they can just ask school age kids. Kids have been drilling for this type of thing in schools for years.

If you were horrified watching elected leaders run & scramble because of gun violence, just imagine how my daughter Jaime felt in school running from an active shooter before she was killed. Now, become a part of the solution & only vote for people determined to address gun violence in America.

About last night’s scrambling from gun fire at White House reporters dinner .. Rep Jamie Raskin (D-MD) makes a critical point on CNN: “This is happening in schools across the country.. the kids have no resources to process their trauma”

So let me get this right. Trump skips the correspondence dinner all 4 years of his first term and 1 year of his second. His approval ratings drop to new lows. And he decides to go this time, where somehow an active shooter got close enough to cause a scene... again But trump is fine... again...

I say all of this without having seen any footage yet. I was busy all evening. But I don't trust Trump. I believe he's a con artist. And the setting is right that he would probably try something underhanded to draw sympathy and improve his ratings.

Trump sees everything thru the kens if reality TV. In the '24 campaign, he needed a ratings boost and he got it. Here, it's Epstein. Then Iran to cahnge the headlines. Now, a ratings boost needed. Like "The West Wing," time for an assassination attempt episode. SMH

Good Lord. Obviously all the speakers in Trump's press conference have been given very specific instructions. I leep expecting one of them to kneel down in front of Trump and unzip his pants. SMH

Trump made a deal with Bibi Netanyahu to keep the Gaza War going during the 2024 election to hurt Biden, and by extension Harris. The Iran War is Trump's paying back Bibi. Bombing Iran is something Bibi said he's wanted to do for decades. Trump's paying the political price--gas prices.
