Never meet your heroes, they say, but it was fun to catch up with @verminsupreme.bsky.social

Hmm. Does this call for "Pointing Spidermen," or maybe "Leo points at TV"...ah, no, wait. Gotta be...

Yes, I was born with a mustache. Sadly, my mother was tickled to death. (Old Groucho Marxx joke.)

This, it seems to me, is the winning pitch for climate action now.

This is the first Digger review I've read that seems to get what Iñárritu is doing, and to tie his film explicitly to Amitav Ghosh's critique of art's failure to adequately engage with #climate change. (Big spoilers are required for such commentary.) www.nytimes.com/2026/10/14/o...

My KY resident bias might be showing, but I think UK is the most exciting team in college #football rn. On back to back weeks they have won in OT with big balls calls for 2 pt conversions. Caaaaats! www.espn.com/college-foot...

My god. A Virginia data center ran backup diesel generators full blast for 24 hours, creating a giant cloud of toxic smoke that choked its human neighbors. The government claimed there was nothing they could do.

This is it people. The average ocean temperature in the Nino 3.4 region of the Pacific Ocean is now 29.822C. The previous record was 29.815C in 2015, 2 months later than today's date. That means the heating isn't done yet.

Stuff you can't make up. Whatley's explanation for having a twice convicted sex offender open his campaign event is that it was organized by the "Craven County Republican Party."
