Hello, new followers! I'm a New England children's book author/illustrator. THE KING OF BOOKS is my latest picture book. I also started #KidLitArtPostcard (the next date is Thursday, January 8th!). Side dish of a pug named Hank.

A suggestion: use bird seed, rather than de-icing salt to assist melt (lowers snow albedo) while also providing traction. Birds scratching also helps!

I'm so freaking proud of my city!! The Red Coats didn't call us the "Hornets Nest" just to be cute. Here’s the thing about southern charm. It's warm and welcoming until we're pissed off. We invented backstabbing, ya'll.

One in a cast of characters rattling around my brain. Anyone else have a mother who dressed them in weird outfits for school? #kidlitart #kidlitartist #illustrator #childrensart #characterdesign #picturebook #cartoonstyle

#KidLitArt chat for Nov is THIS Thursday! Set your reminders! We have Nov & Dec a week earlier to avoid Thanksgiving & Xmas day.

Is #folktaleweek a thing in these parts? I only have time for one, so chose today's prompt - NIGHT! El Muerto, roaming the Texas hills on the back of a midnight Mustang, headless and hatless since 1850, thanks to a Texas Ranger named Big Foot. #folktaleweek2025 #folktaleweeknight #kidlitart

There's something new on the drawing board that I'm working through. Some pieces are so intuitive. NOT this one. I've struggled with decision-making every step along the way. Does that ever happen to you? #wip #illustrator #illustration #kidlitart #picturebook #childrensart #portfolio #folktale

Is #portfolioday still a thing? If so, I'm here for it. 👋 I'm an illustrator of kids and critters doing quirky things in a whimsical retro-modern style. Currently, I'm unagented and would love to collaborate with one to help shape the next chapter in my creative journey. #kidlitart #kidlitartist
