This Passover, we cannot hold seder as usual. The meal cannot be festive while Palestinians in Gaza face famine; the questions of liberation are not theoretical. This year’s Jewish holiday of liberation urges every one of us to step up our commitment to the liberation of the Palestinian people.

Yet another example of how Bernie is actually providing moral leadership.

Senator Bernie Sanders@sanders.senate.gov

Netanyahu has not allowed any food, water, or fuel into Gaza in two weeks. Now he has resumed bombing, killing hundreds of people and breaking the ceasefire that had given Gaza a chance to live again. NO MORE MILITARY AID TO ISRAEL.

@ruha9.bsky.social Hello Dr. Benjamin, I just had the pleasure of listening to your interview with Jonathan Bastian on KCRW’s Life Examined and found it fascinating and inspirational, especially at this very troubled moment in history. Look forward to digging deeper into your work. Many thanks!

This is how you do it! One of the strong protest signs from the short t.v. clip linked in the article: "Chinga la Migra!" Indeed! ktla.com/news/local-n...

On the second day of Black History Month, we celebrate the precious treasures that Black folks have always given to our history and culture. Today, I remember someone whose impact on me as a student, educator, and scholar was profound: my UCSC professor/mentor, Gloria Watkins (aka, bell hooks).

NY Times was in full-blown thrall to the about-to-be-inaugurated, dear leader in today’s paper, declaring all opposition d.o.a. and the US public ready to roll over. Pretty stomach-turning, demoralizing fare.

Very glad to see fellow historians speaking out against scholasticide in Gaza at the AHA annual meeting. We need to do more to end the horrors, but this is an important moment of speaking out, especially now, as the powers of censorship are seeking our silence. www.democracynow.org/2025/1/6/aha...

Just going to put it out there: whenever I see someone posting about starter packs, or celebrating their legions of followers, I truly wonder WTAF I am doing on this, or any other social media site. We are facing very dire time (we are already in them) so why bizarre be so consumed by these things?

thelefthook.substack.comHow Will Bullying Trans People Get Us Cheaper Eggs? On Nancy Mace and the GOP’s Crusade of Cruelty and DivisionSince Republicans have no solutions for Americans seeking better economic opportunities, they resort to their cruel & divisive strategy of scapegoating the trans community. It's time we say, "Enough."
