For those who believe Europe can absorb researchers from the US, the ERC Advanced Grant competition that just ended will bring nine (9) researchers from the US to Europe from ALL disciplines combined. The US is on its own.

Man redet heute Leuten ein, dass man Naturgesetze aushebeln kann, wenn man nur ganz fest daran glaubt (klar können wir auf dem Mars leben! und durch Meditation Krebs heilen!), dass gesellschaftliche Regeln hingegen unverrückbar sind (wir können doch keine Milliardäre besteuern, du Dummerchen!).

⚒️🧪Fiery Mud Volcano Eruption! The Daşmərdan (Dashmardan) mud volcano in Azerbaijan erupted ~16:50 on the 30th Jan 2026.
