Got my COVID booster last week. I would like to encourage all of my friends and neighbors to do their part in keeping preventable sickness and disease at bay as we enter the cooler months. If you won't do it for me, do it for him.

And that's a lot of what organizing is about: listening to folks and empowering them to take action to build a better tomorrow. Want to help build towards better housing availability and affordability here in Rhode Island? Send me a message — I'd love to connect!

After all, our home — the First Place — is the center of our lives. Having a place to call home, a place where you can pursue your ambitions, career, & hobbies, or start a family — is crucial. I did a lot of listening and reflecting during my time at this gathering hosted by @welcomingneighbors.us.

Enjoyed an afternoon out in East Providence at the PVD Food Truck Event at Munroe Dairy's Sacred Cow Ice Cream Shop and Market. It was great running into friends, neighbors, and folks running for office, especially as the primary is coming up this Wednesday, September 9th. 1/3

I'm very happy to be supporting Keith Hoffmann for RI AG. Keith has a measured approach to interfacing with our legal system, and possesses a lot of institutional knowledge that will allow him to ensure that our most vital institutions are fair and just. 2/3

We're glad that many of our members and neighbors from East Providence were able to attend this informative and engaging workshop!

Neighbors Welcome! RI@neighborswelcomeri.bsky.social

This morning, we dug into the economics of building more homes with the inimitable Ivy Vann. The math can be complicated, but understanding what gets built, what it costs, and why is essential to solving RI’s housing shortage. Full recap coming soon!

This past Monday, I voted early at East Providence City Hall in the upcoming primary election here in Rhode Island. I encourage all of my friends and neighbors to get out and vote. It's only a little bit of time out of your day, and it makes all the difference in the future of our state.

Thank you to everyone who joined tonight's Community Education Series, "Vote Your Values: A Guide to Informed Voting." We appreciate the great discussion from residents, and a special thanks to Christine Stenning from the League of Women Voters of Newport County for sharing her expertise.

This is also what density makes possible. More people in a city means more of this, more life, more connection, more spontaneity. Economically thriving cities are alive, and this is what we get when we say yes to welcoming folks into our neighborhoods and our communities. (2/2)

Today, I'm working from Central Park. People are reading, working, picnicking, and singing together. Strangers sharing the same space and actually enjoying it. Third Places like this bring people together. (1/2)

Yesterday, I attended @pvdstreets.org's Summer Boost Fundraiser. It was great running into many friends and advocates who have been on the front lines of fighting for transit and walkable infrastructure in our state.

Libby is the parent of a current student in our schools, and has worked in schools her entire career. I truly do believe she is dedicated to making sure all students get a high-quality education. 2/2

Fantastic progress at the State House! 🙌 We are thrilled to see the Faith-Based Affordable Housing bill clear the Senate committee and move forward. Let’s keep this momentum going. Next stop: the Rhode Island House of Representatives!

Neighbors Welcome! RI@neighborswelcomeri.bsky.social

This legislation would help open the door for faith communities to create much-needed affordable homes across Rhode Island by allowing residential development on underused religious property. A small zoning change with the potential for a big community impact.

Big Week at the State House! Today, Tuesday, March 31st, the House Committee on Municipal Government and Housing will hear three of our bills: Our Technical Fixes bill (H8039), Faith-based Affordable Housing (H7445) and Conversion Incentive (H8142).

Today's No Kings protest in East Providence was a powerful demonstration of courage and leadership from folks in our community. I'm proud to have attended this demonstration alongside them. Pictures taken on a Lomo’ Instant Square Glass Camera.

My op-ed was published in Público today, one of Portugal’s prominent newspapers of record. This story is deeply personal. Under Portugal's current self-determination law, I was able to change my legal name and gender through a simple, dignified process. But now that process is under threat. (1/2)

In this piece, I dive into why these barriers are a step backward for Portugal. I believe that self-determination is a human right that should not be limited by geography, bureaucracy, or pathologization. (2/2) www.publico.pt/2026/03/17/p...
