The point is, yes, Trump is allying himself with authoritarians. Of course he is. The American Order is breaking down as capital escapes liberal democracy to create a new authoritarian order. Doesn't mean it's inevitable, but it is as long as people keep their heads fucking buried in the sand.

Then, when they reach the point of maximum extracted capital under systems like liberal democracy, they break the system down, create authoritarian structures, designate in and out groups, and work together to liquidate anything invested or built to help people and raid neighbors and the vulnerable.

At a certain point in completely unregulated capitalism, capital ends up in the hands of the most unscrupulous and the most cruel. They work together and buy people and political representation off. They consolidate media and cultural institutions. It. Isn't. Hard. To. Understand.
