Sharing my kickstarter prelaunch link with the updated book cover draft! 😁📖 This cover is pretty close to finished, the only change I'm going to make is adding an illustration of my own where the woodblock sits as a placeholder 🖼️ www.kickstarter.com/projects/jko...

I just have 2 more 6am gym classes left, so stoked to wake up at normal times consistently again.

Did a water-themed Halloween live painting over the weekend, so fun!! #livepainting #Chicagoartist #lineart

How do you feel about structure in personal spirituality? Do you feel happier allowing your beliefs to free-flow? Or do you enjoy small, scheduled actions to anchor yourself into your beliefs? #spirituality #spiritualbutnotreligious #spiritualtalk

It's a relief to go from book editing to priming canvas. No think, only white paint everywhere wheeeee

Twas the work of two hours but I managed to hunt down more modern fonts to flavor this book cover 😋 #spiritualbook #spirituality #nature #bookcover #graphicdesign

Diminish an anime jojo's okay adventure

Catching up on a few full moon writings before I compile all them into a book, and boy oh boy I forgot about the strict parameters I gave to myself. Six paragraphs, 300 words total, no citations so only use easy to google facts or personal anecdotes, plus no use of "you" or "I" pronouns? damn

If we tax Elon Musk and his fellow billionaires appropriately, every child in America can have healthcare, education, and a well funded social safety net instead of some racist billionaire’s pathetic pr stunt

I'm between freelance projects, so I'm taking a risk; I wrote a bunch of structured meditations for myself while I transitioned from Christianity to Paganism. The result was an entire year's worth of full moon, new moon, and solstice ceremonies rooted in nature. I'm gonna compile them into a book.

many centrists are as disdainful of science as MAGA these days. virtually every study on the topic, and there have been many, show that youth programs reduce crime. it's a settled question. this is no different from claiming vaccines are a hoax.

Omg #portfolioday ! I'm Josie Koznarek, and I'm an illustrator specializing in ink on paper, sometimes colored, sometimes not. Commissions are open, shoot me a DM!

This project was more work than I was expecting, but I really like the results. I created an avatar for a storytelling YouTube channel, and it's fun to flick between the expressions and watch them change. #emotes #youtube #youtubeavatar #characterdesign #commission #illustration #storytime

Really pleased with this ink and colored pencil drawing. "What do you do with the lump in your throat?" #illustration #inkdrawing #inkpainting #mixedmedia

AI safety expert Timnit Gebru says tech leaders are promoting greatly exaggerated claims about "superintelligence" and "existential risk" as a way to distract from the real threat — their own unregulated companies.

Hey, Terminator 2 was everything I was promised. I am satisfied.

Hey comics artists: a new all-timer character design just dropped.

Can't format for longer than an hour at a time without hour long breaks in between, which is perfect for cleaning the kitchen or playing three days of Stardew Valley

Hi, poor person here. this is an incorrect trope often used by the upper classes. both political parties cater to the very rich who have oddball priorities often driven by esoteric moral values. the poor are never given an option to vote for any of their own interests at all. thanks for reading.

Feeling so discouraged about making art these days, like I really want this to be a career for me but I'm starting to not be able to justify the growing ratio of loss to income. I know the economy is terrible right now, but it still stinks

obsessed with this clip of Ken Jennings supporting class revolution on his original Jeopardy run lmao

300 pages into formatting a novel, realized my eyes were hurting, changed the body font and my eyes stopped hurting 😭😭😭 oh no... I have to change the body font...

My cover and six illustrations for the middle-grade fantasy novel "What Next? Phase 1: The Art of Leaving" #fantasynovel #fantasyillustration #scifinovel #middlegrade

Someday I'll learn the rules of commas, but for now my copy editing process involves listening to the ancestors and trying my best.

Completely agree, no notes
