We need to vote like our lives and our neighbors’ lives depend on it. Because they do. What is happening in Springfield and elsewhere is abhorrent. This is not who we as American are. We must check this administration with a democratic House and Senate. They are doing all of this in our name.

BREAKING: The House passed the so-called SAVE America Act which threatens to upend our freedom to vote. The bill could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters by requiring documents like passports or birth certificates to register to vote and forcing voter roll purges. The Senate must reject it.

What in the actual F. Don’t tell me cruelty isn’t the point. It clearly is when they scare stores from giving discounts to those who have lost SNAP benefits. Disgusting.

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse. I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

The CBO just released a score on Republicans' existing mega-package and found that the GOP budget plan would increase the deficit by $2.3 trillion over a decade. It would boost the incomes of the richest 10% of Americans while lowering the incomes of the lowest 10%.
