Load up on guns, bring your friends Economic refugee from Lorain County OH, biding my time, "report any injuries promptly" while in Jump School, back up on the hill at the House Armed Services Committee. https://www.gpo.gov/

Nothing like having your FEHB premium go up 85% biweekly — additional $5K/year. Already started with the spreadsheets trying to cover the majority of our self+family costs while retaining access to providers. No raise. No bonus even with a perfect review due to OPM interference (new 40% rule).

Hakeem Jeffries is a follower, not a leader. And not the transformative agent the nation needs. Democrats can do much better.

1/ Time for an update on this thread. If you've come across people who claim that Cleveland's MLB team was formerly called "Indians" as an honor to Louis Sockalexis, the record shows that this is a polite fiction made up after the fact. Let's look at the contemporary historical evidence.

1/ I wanted to bring this thread to BlueSky (with some new information!) It's about the "Sockalexis Myth" that the Cleveland Guardians, formerly Cleveland Indians, were so named as an honor to former player Louis Sockalexis. There is very little evidence for this idea.

Nonsense. You can vote where you live not where your post-secondary permanent address is located. Only thing I didn't vote for in college were tax levies but that was a personal choice.

Students should vote where they - or their parents - pay taxes. I use to ask Dartmouth students: "Who has a car?" Some hands go up. "Who registers their car in New Hampshire." The hands go down. "Vote where you registered your car."

White and Kanter could not handle the spironolactone and estradiol, much less for two whole years.

For my newsletter, I spelled out once simple trick for the WNBA to shut down that transphobic publicity stunt by two former NBA players: www.burnsnotice.com/heres-how-th...

Was playing center, got downfield on a play that broke to the outside and slammed my shoulder into the chest of the linebacker—without breaking stride—who was the last chance to stop the touchdown. My girlfriend at the time said I looked to the crowd with the biggest grin on my face.

Do you remember a hit from your playing days that still stands out? (Would've been a good Tailgate mailbag question, oh well)

A Schrödinger's McConnell is worth more in keeping the vote margin close than appointing a replacement. Why don't people understand that Beshear does not have to do anything — especially since they changed the law where he would have to choose from among three Republicans?

Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio) previously denied a report, also alleged in court records, that he pushed a girl down a flight of stairs in high school. But the woman recently told me the alleged incident remains "one of the more traumatic nights of my life." Inside the investigation: ow.ly/8xU450ZpaNp

Winter Kills when I was 11. Part of a drive-in double feature with Earthquake (1974) as the first movie. Dad thought we would be asleep by that point. Wife's was Caddyshack when she was 10.

Do you remember what *your* first R-rated movie was? I finally asked my mom (I couldn't remember), and she told me it was The Lost Boys when I was roughly the same age as my daughter (about 9). The movie traumatized her more than it did me, apparently

Opposition to hyperscale data centers is a unifying, bipartisan coalition. Old/young, exurban/rural, liberal/conservative were agreeing in my precinct hallway to vote out the officials who foisted this upon us. For me that also includes @govwesmoore.bsky.social who waived the environmental regs.

Woken abruptly at 7:39 when the power went out. Now the internet is out. Cloudless day at 62F. They promised that the new hyperscale datacenters up the road would strengthen both but apparently that's just for them because there's a carve-out the same size as their footprint on the outage map.
