Yesterday Zack Polanski called on the government to put in place a three year emergency brake on private rents. No sudden rent hikes. No evictions under the guise of rent rises. No more uncertainty, no more fear: just vital breathing space for renters.

With bills constantly on the rise it's time to demand better. Greens have already secured a £2 bus fare cap for the Highlands and Islands, and in Strathclyde. We need the £2 bus fare cap to be rolled out across the rest of Scotland now!

This year we secured a £2 bus fare cap in the Highlands and Islands. That's now been extended to Strathclyde region. But the Government says it could take up to 5 years to get to the rest of Scotland. England will reduce their cap to £2 in January. Scotland shouldn't have to wait.
