Does anyone know anyone who might be interested in buying my mobile disco speakers and amp? Collection from New Barnet. 2 x JBL TR125 Speakers (225 watts each - 450 watts total - 15" woofers). 1 x C-Audio GB402 amplifier in flight case.

Also comes with tripods and cabling. These have been reliable workhorse for years and years. Never been thrashed or overdriven. I can't lift them any more - hence the sale.

“Today the high court has said what we have always known: we cannot dig up coal, ship it overseas, watch it drive climate change, and then pretend the consequences have nothing to do with us and won’t be felt by us" Well said Wendy! Congratulations to all on this historic victory.

What a day! Our clients Wendy and Tony have just won the first ever climate case to be heard by Australia’s highest court! Such a privilege to have been able to represent them in this landmark case, which will reverberate around the world. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Dipping into @nportnell.bsky.social's kindly compiled playlist of music at the intersection of folk, country and psychedelia is a consistently joyful experience. So many wonderful discoveries and a few old favourites. Perfect👌. Thank you again, Nick. open.spotify.com/playlist/0b0...

Great selection. I'm always amazed by the number of people who've never watched TLGF

My daughter had time to kill yesterday, so wandered into a charity shop and ended up helping the old ladies there, to sort through some stock. They gave her a cuppa and a biscuit. Then they gave her the whole packet - what remained of the biscuits. Use by date: 2008 😱

Worrying scenes in the Channel today, for all interested in asylum policy and maritime tactics. A small boat from Normandy spent more than 30 hours at sea. Those on board now on their 2nd rescue vessel as Border Force forced to play cat and mouse with far-right activists who have their own boat.

1/23 Sorry, this will be long... There is a lot of shouting about what happened in the Channel yesterday. So I want to go back to basic law. Not immigration policies or political rhetoric. At sea, the starting point is simple: Preservation of life comes first under all maritime conventions.

There are so many crimes in this thread you have to wonder what the police and Home Secretary think they are doing at this point.

I recommend following @vic-spanner.bsky.social . If you asked me what I'm into, I probably wouldn't say motorbikes, old films, 70s ephemera, Slade and mooks. Nevertheless, I always find myself enjoying what he posts on these and other subjects. Lots of great, old photographs on his timeline too.

So great to see. I had hoped that the Reform bubble would burst in decisive fashion - but I'll very happily take a slow and steady deflation.

Burnham has been front and centre across the media since he took office, taking the lead on everything from early release to disposable barbecues, but hundreds of masked men disrupt the country's most important port and it's wheel out the minions with muted murmurings of condemnation.
