I love books and bookstores and libraries. I despise people who ban books, burn books, and misrepresent books.

This person really needs some reading comprehension if that is their take away from Kendi's post. I get so tired watching people hate on prominent Black authors by deliberating fabricating what they write. It is grossly anti-Black to profoundly misrepresent a Black writer like this.

Chain of Ideas, the worst book you read this year? Either your reading comprehension is the worst. Or you don't want people reading this excellent book because it exposes you. You don't want anyone learning that you've written elements of great replacement theory that is said to be "far right."

I thought I was doing a small story on confusion over the sudden disappearance of water fountains on a popular South Mississippi biking and running trail. What I found was a bigger story about homelessness, the meaning people find in the things they love, public infrastructure and civic engagement.
Water fountains disappeared from the Longleaf Trace in June as the board that governs it grew concerned about how homeless people were using its facilities. Runners and bikers who use the 44-mile trail fear the decision could have dire consequences in Mississippi's summer heat. buff.ly/pBXSvrI

Kendi calls racism a power structure. There are Black individuals who reinforce this structure. You ignore this truth and seem to believe all Black individuals are powerless slaves to all-powerful whites, as if whites are gods. This shows your internalized racism. I see why you deny its existence.

When the state is disenfranchising its Black voters, there's zero question why ROOTS was just banned in Knox County, Tennessee, schools. "Age-Appropriate" my ass. www.wbir.com/article/news...
