Coming through a window near you...Russian war bloggers!

ChrisO_wiki@chriso-wiki.bsky.social

1/ Vladimir Putin seems to have decided that protecting his palace at Valdai is more important than protecting Russia's vulnerable factories and oil refineries. A few bold Russian warbloggers are questioning why scarce air defence assets are being diverted for Putin's benefit. ⬇️

I just had an AI person answer the phone to me when I rang a fireplace store. It was like speaking to someone on crack. I've no doubt this will be the future but they've a long way to go.

Deduct 39 points per season for as many seasons as Man City win the premier league. Unless their owners sell the club (genuinely). And then ban those owners from every owning an English football club again.

Seriously though, it sounds like the Democrats are going to make AI regulation a key point for the mid terms and that could be a really good way to take trump in using policy. Which him squirm and U-turn to run ahead of the crowd.

Narrator: This was the point where EVERYONE realised it was time to panic.

This isn't the take him figuratively Vs literally thing. He'll do this. He'll do it because it will be a vanity project for him. If he remembers he said it which is another question all together.

Tim Curry is one of those character actors who you see doing small to medium parts in so many shows and films and he ALWAYS improved the scene 10 fold and left you wondering why his character wasn't the star.

I always love the behind the scenes stories about how incredibly talented he was. Especially the stories from Clue where he completely carried the whole cast through scene after scene and they kept screwing up, forcing him to repeat his endless monologues for them to get their two word retort wrong.

Erm, yeah...about that "fastest in history" thing. It's just that, well, the records weren't exactly, err, well they were sort of not that shiny and white if you know what I mean?!

A plan executed to perfection 👌🏼 UAE Team Emirates-XRG controlled every detail to help Tadej Pogačar win Tour de France Stage 19 and set the fastest ascent in Alpe d'Huez history.

Also WTAF!!! How the heck did it get out and how scared should we be!! This is basically the opening scene in a disaster movie. Like when you saw some news reports about COVID in China.

Deschamps currently bollocking the arse off the French team for displaying totally the wrong attitude in the first half. "How dare you try so hard in such a pointless match. One of you almost ran at one point".

"I've reviewed where we are and decided we need to implement this list of changes to the project immediately." "This is exactly the same as the list of changes I recommended to the board at Fridays update meeting, that they rejected." "Great, we obviously think alike!" "How coincidental." "YES!"

One day a hire car firm will exist that doesn't waste half the first day of a holiday getting you a car but until then it will remain one of my least favourite things. Next to flying Ryanair.

Is it wrong that the most intriguing part of the group stages of the world cup is whether Iran get through or not? I'm no fan of the regime but it'll sure as heck annoy trump.

I was 8 during Italia 90. I watched almost every game and I remember every minute of it still. It was the world cup that really got football going for me. I thought this world cup might do that for my 7 yr old son but I just looked at the fixture times and realised he probably won't see much of it.

No no no no no. Do not reduce sanctions on the Russians. I don't care about the economy THAT much. Don't cut the kegs from under Ukrainians. Support Ukraine more, send more aid and weapons and help them finish the great job they're doing. Pathetic @labouruk.bsky.social

SNL UK sketch: Andy Burnham sings "We don't talk about Brexit" to the tune of we don't talk about Bruno. It practically writes itself!

David Henig@davidheniguk.bsky.social

Basically don't talk about Brexit might work for a by-election campaign but is not going to work for government as we have repeatedly seen over 10 years. And so it continues. Though as a few point out, at least Burnham so far hasn't put in place any big red lines.

So Burnham is pandering to reform voters in the constituency he wants to run in already. If he does become labour leader what's to say he won't do that then? In which case he'll just lose even more votes to reform just like the tories did and labour are doing. Pointless; Zero political leadership.

Can't comment so quite posting to say it's a shame it doesn't measure anxiety but then the kids will still have their phones outside of school.

This looks like a really interesting study. www.nber.org/papers/w35132

I really think FPTP can't survive another general election. Not enough mainstream voters realize it but it really needs to go, now more than ever...and it's needed to go for a long time!

Labour are going to look at this and decide to go full on anti immigration to avoid losing votes to reform and simultaneously hard left to stop losing votes to the greens whilst never actually bringing a single reason to the debate to vote FOR Labour. It'll go GRRREAT 😂.

Peter Magyar confirmed that Szijjarto, Orbán's FM, has barricaded himself with some of his closest colleagues and is shredding documents related to the sanctions on Russia any other evidence of treason.

Even if it IS open who the heck wants to go first!

Caine’s “I believe so” is interesting. I’ve seen some ships going through since yesterday, but there’s not a lot of traffic considering that it’s been closed for weeks and this is only a two week ceasefire.

I was concerned about this global crisis crippling our economies and destroying the chance for some badly needed growth to get us out of the debt quagmire post COVID but then I heard Yvette Cooper was arranging a teams call and I suddenly felt like it was all going to be ok 😂
