So, tonight SNL was a hot garbage fire. When I think of the worst sketches, I will have Mikey orgasm face and Ben with the dumb glasses at the top the list (I hope). Che and Jost were off their game and Katseye just a blatant attempt from the recors company at chasing what is popular. #SNL

Jalen brought nothing to the table as a host, and for a show that uses the host in every sketch now-a-days, that is a problem. However, Jeremy and Jane really tried their best to give the show some life. SO instead of zero, I give the show a 1.5/10 for night. #SNL

every billionaire & tech mogul, they all want to be adored & celebrated without doing the things Dolly did with a fraction of the power & money. What she had, she gave away. I'm sure she was comfortable (& that's good!). But she just relentlessly helped. It's not that difficult. Love. Care. Help. 💚🌸

HBO's "Harry Potter" thing is gonna premiere huge. Anybody pretending otherwise is silly. But I think there's a greater-than-zero chance that the series eventually loses momentum and becomes a cultural irrelevance and a financial albatross. Actors signing for late-arriving roles deserve THAT.

The only reason why a person should be annoyed by Ryan Gosling doing Ghost Rider is, if you’re like me before last month and thought Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds were the same guy. Then you could be annoyed that Deadpool would also be Ghost Rider. But you would be wrong.

"Why is Ryan Gosling doing Marvel slop?!" yell film fans with no personality on social media. 1. He's an actor. 2. He's got kids. 3. Ryan Gosling is that rare movie star who can flip-flop between prestige and blockbuster and do whatever he wants. Suck it the fuck up.

I completely forgot this shot of a fucking alien possessing a police car hiding behind a pole to spy on people

Pretty wild that Taco Bell identified the source of the outbreak before the FDA did and promptly pulled it. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA

Clarence Thomas says the 14th Amendment should be read narrowly because it was written for formerly enslaved people. By that logic, the 2nd Amendment was written for muskets, not AR-15s. Funny how that kind of originalism only shows up when it's convenient.

As someone who makes list of Best Of SNL sketches, Goo Goo Man was the only one from the Ryan Reynolds episode to make it onto the Season 51 list. The rest of the episode was too much of cast breaking (and that being the only joke or the pretapes being just out of reach in a competitive field)

How much do you consider a visit from the goo goo man to be worth? What’s the most you’re willing to pay for time with the goo goo man?

For the second week in a row, the last live sketch (Married Auctioneers and Rasta Cabbie) was a banger that showed that a cast member who has been there for 5+ years still might have something more to give. I wish Sarah and Andrew could be more like that, but still, good to have. #SNL

I see that with the Godzilla sketch and this tough man getting beaten up sketch, I see the SNL couldn't find a second joke for their sketches tonight. That's unfortunate for Matt Damon. #SNL

Well, the blue litterbox mystery pretape was pretty much one joke. But it was fun joke that relied on Ashley's, Matt's, and James's performances; so that one worked. #SNL

The Godzilla sketch was properly meant to end with Godzilla using his nuclear breath on Mikey, but they couldn't figure how to that practically. SO, instead of cutting the sketch went that last joke was needed, they instead put it as the top of the night to lead of the show. Shameful. #SNL

I ain’t calling these “things” dogs, because they can’t run with joy and care about people. Nobody is going to have one these murder-bots as a pet. So, I propose that we call these robot dogs Crawlies instead.

That "Anti-ICE" cold open was oddly too nice. Pete's ICE boss being a reasonable is a choice, and there wasn't enough cruelty to ICE agents who are invading a city/brutalizing people. Just a failure to meet the moment. #SNL

A Skarsgard episode ends 1000 episodes of SNL. And it is one that was pretty representative of S51 as a whole... for good and ill. If you want to know what the show is right now, this a good episode to watch. Ashley is the highlight, but Jane did creep up to her. 7/10 night

Another recurring bit for the night. Andrew and Ashley's Couple Who Just Hooked Up was my current favorite Update feature of the season. So, it is nice to see these well-acted characters back at the desk. Solid sexual innuendo about football. #SNL

Okay after the (awful) chilly, the show has gone on a run of 4 great/fun segments. It is rare for the show to have this solid of an opening run, so I am going to celebrate it for accomplishment. Will the 1000th episode actually be good? #SNL

And the night continues with another solid recurring sketch. This time it is Marcello's Immigrant Dad Talk Show, this time Marcello is freaked out from his co-host, Alexander. A fun variation on this sketch/nice change of pace for this sketch, not a beat-for beat remake. #SNL

And the next season is a repeat of what turned out to be one of Chloe's Best sketches. It is nice to see Danish actors again, and it makes perfect sense to bring back with Sarsgaard. #SNL

Okay, Ashley is pulling out some Kristen Wiig energy in this mom (who is overreacting in the news she delivers). Good for her and the show for realizing her talent. #SNL

Okay, but Alexander giving up his monologue to have the SNL band to just groove around for 4 minutes is great. The band doesn't get enough credit for their skills. #SNL
