It's a neat coincidence that Townfall and Silver Pines, two of the best psychological horror games released this year (and within a couple of weeks from each other), have the exact same saving from a telephone booth mechanic.

the default key to use the light augmentation in deus ex is f12 which is also the stream screenshot key. so here's all of the times i used the flashlight in my last playthrough of deus ex

I keep seeing people asking 'I don't like flight sims, should I try Ace Combat?'. Yes. Because Ace Combat is to jets and modern warfare as Dynasty Warriors is to spears and Chinese history. They're over-the-top action games where you are a metal-clad god of war fighting entire armies & huge bosses

At mission 09 of Ace Combat 8 it's going to be very hard that it doesn't end up as my GOTY 2026. Sorry to Onimusha, Trails in the Sky 2 and many others!

It really nails that feeling of not knowing what is part of the sci-fi setting and what is caused by the psychological horror elements. Oh, I guess I didn't mention it: the protagonist is an unrealiable narrator suffering some kind of trauma/mental illness. Very cool game, highly recommended!

I ended up a bit sour on Silent Hill Townfall but The Dream of Cockspur has helped with that. A surreal point & click adventure that combines horror with sci-fi and religion in a way very reminiscent of Jeff Vandermeer's novels. store.steampowered.com/app/1699710/...

Jacob Geller is no longer a part of MinnMax. He won't be on content moving forward and we won't be publicly airing this week's episode of The MinnMax Show. We're in shock and deeply hurt. Thank you for your patience during this sensitive time.

I'm a bit sad about Control Resonant because while the concept and aesthetics are spectacular, the game unfortunately suffers from the open world bloat design. Sadly it feels like a podcast game, when everything in the narrative and art direction should make you feel the opposite.

I guess I'll just rush the main story and ignore as much optional content as I can, because the game's highs are very high. But it sucks that I'd love to hang out on that world and just can't due to how formulaic and generic everything optional is.

Genuine thanks from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supported me today! I hope all of you who are playing for the first time enjoy your experience, it's a game with a lot of years of love poured into it. I wasn't expecting such a nice turnout but I'm very happy to say the least.

Carter's Quest pretty apocalyptically failed to catch an audience, even with Act 1, and I really do have to wonder what more people could have asked for. It stands in opposition to basically everything people complain about in games, indie and otherwise. It's for so many more people than ever saw it

Carter's Quest is legit one of the greatest accomplishments to come out of the solo-dev scene and the fact that something so spectacular, as game, as narrative, as experience, might never be completed because of lack of attention is an indictment on the way we talk about and engage with indie games.
