I read up on that Discord “text in public servers will be searchable” announcement, and… doesn’t seem offensive to me? It reflects the fact a *lot* of information about a lot of stuff is locked in discords at this point, and that these discords are already open to anyone. discord.com/blog/making-...

Hello fellow BC-ers. I know it's annoying we have ANOTHER election we have to vote in this weekend and that the NDP have been pretty ineffectual so far. But I honestly think if the Conservatives win, things will be so much worse. Regardless of how you feel and the party you support, please VOTE!

Finally got around to upgrading to 1password 8 now that they’re discontinuing 7, and they definitely have improved it a bunch from where it was at release. It’s nice to see. The browser plugin is still… slow, though. The perceptible lag from icon click to launch is aggravating.

The #iPod turns 25 today! I've been musing about the impact it has had, and what we might learn from that as we navigate the generatively-beige world we now find ourselves in. news.kestr.al/ipod25/ Interestingly, I bought my first iPod to impress a guy I fancied. It didn't end well.
