This is one of the coolest things. It used to be a through street before PBOT made it bike-only and turned it into a "pocket park." bikeportland.org/2010/05/05/p...

Taylor got to cover a blazers game! Not fair. So jealous. 🤣

Taylor Griggs@taylorgriggs.bsky.social

We all know the Blazers won big last night. But if you were dying to know what I had to say about it, now you can find out. Plus, a little bit about Micah Nori’s quirky manner of speech and an interesting exchange in the press room.

Would love to publish a guest article on this if anyone has some perspective or experience to share.

hey @jonathanmaus.bsky.social mad respect to you, the parents in my PTA have gone fully militant. How much $ did Portland put into Safe Routes to School funding by schools the district wants to close? How many miles of commute are we adding? Are the consolidated schools bike and transit accessible?

Also, if you live in Tigard you should vote for Shawne for city council! He's amazing and would make a great city leader.

Just because school is back, doesn't mean a dad and his daughter can't go on a carfree cycling adventure. Contributor Shawne Martinez is back with another banger. bikeportland.org/2026/10/05/s...

The name of our awards event and its top honor originated with Jacquie Phelan, a pioneering Hall of Fame mountain bike racer who used the alter ego and racing pseudonym "Alice B. Toeclips" throughout the 1980s. We adopted Phelan's famous moniker to honor her fierce, inclusive biking advocacy.

PBOT has made major progress on the N Willamette Blvd project. Here’s the new bikeway going south into the N Rosa Parks turn.

Light work 😁💯

Congratulations Portland, we did. We just secured the title for Largest Electric Bicycle Ride and Party. With an official count 1060 people on e-bikes (plus more on pedal bikes or riding on an e-bike) we broke Seattle’s record of 405 e-bikes and made Portland history together.

The Blazers are to this stadium deal like ODOT is to a freeway expansion project.

Rip City Not Rip Off@ripcitynotripoff.bsky.social

Insane. The Blazers, to OPB: we can’t show the city final renderings until the city commits to a financing plan. $600M first. THEN we’ll tell you what it buys. Even Mayor Wilson now admits: “We don’t yet have all the information we’ll need to negotiate successfully.” Here’s what comes next 👇

It’s happening. The Mamdani Effect!?? LFG

thanks for being there Brandon! Such a great night and feeling grateful for all the love and support. And the beer! So good. They sold 10 cases and 2 kegs in 5 hours!

Shout out to @jonathanmaus.bsky.social for 20 YEARS of Bike Portland!! I feel bad I had a 5pm to blast off to, but got to meet some dope like-minded folks... which, of course, is the point of the weekly Bike Portland Happy Hour. Congrats, JM (and check out the Bike Portland beer!)

going through old photos.. Can you believe this was just normal evening bike traffic on N Williams Ave in 2016? And look how full the bike parking at New Seasons was! work from home really changed so much about our streets.

Well, well, well if it isn’t Portland Metro Chamber caught red handed with a sloppy attempt at an anti-DSA red scare. Excellent investigative reporting by Alex Baumhardt to track the $ and make sure the culprits were clearly identified. Dirty politics is what we all know to expect from the PMC.

It's Bike Happy Hour Day! (Weds, 4/29). I'll be hosting at Migration Brewing on N Williams Ave from 3-6 pm. Come out and tell me how BikePortland can help our city be better. Or just hang. I'm buying food for everyone at 4:30. Mic opens at 5:30 for announcements, speeches, etc. See you soon!

Been thinking a lot about what BikePortland might look like in the future and figured this was a good question to spur some feedback. What do you think? I don't want to do it all anymore, so what pieces should I pick back up? What pieces should I let others do? Any/all feedback welcome.
