When I switched jobs I had this thought that I needed to separate my “professional” voice from my personal one. So the handle I used everywhere was replaced by various “professional” handles. That was dumb, I’m no longer a dev advocate, and you can now find me at @jonfa.nz 😁

"Social media users are tired of losing their identity and data every time a platform shuts down or pivots. In the ATProto ecosystem, users own their data and identities. Bluesky is the first big example, but a new wave of decentralized social networks is just beginning."

Real-time, decentralized social apps — without running a single server. Here’s how to build and deploy an atproto app on Cloudflare Workers. blog.cloudflare.com/serverless-a...

My favorite MCP server, zen, has just become all of a sudden… garbage. Takes up a ton of context for very little additional gain. Really sad too because it works super well! I’m very bullish on multi-model and/or multi-agent solutions.

It’s pretty disappointing to see a community I helped build now have spam accounts posting and no one doing anything. :(

The levels of cope when half the world says your product is too expensive and the other half says it’s so cheap it’ll run you out of business Try the damn thing. See what you think. Enjoy good software

Trying to come up with some juicy tables about pricing (apropos of nothing I swear) and having some trouble: If you wouldn't mind sharing: how many requests per month does an average user on your app generate?

Defining request as anything that could or does reach a datastore (redis, postgres, etc)

⁉️ Prisma is doing what?? A few months ago, our ORM manifesto included a small but impactful line: "We're migrating core logic from Rust to TypeScript". We got some great reactions, but also some great questions on the "why" and "how". Wonder no longer 👇

No but really you're not. This is genuinely the most exciting thing about Prisma ORM right now. I have an early-early-access version in my hands right now and it's just glorious.

Today is a big day for Prisma Studio! We've just released some big UX improvements that you're going to love. Let's have a look at what's new 👇

I think my favorite thing about tech/nerd/geek culture is that we're all in on this reverse rat race where the goal is to get Doom to work on more and more esoteric platforms.

I’m not exactly inclined to use a social media platform that directly or indirectly helps enrich a Nazi.

Regretfully my work/career may require me to. That’s disappointing, but take this thread as an indication I am required to rather than silently going along for the ride.

Tired: comprehensive reform to protect citizens’ data and provide guardrails for private enterprises Wired: ban app

Spoiler alert: it's not

🤔 Is Prisma ORM slow? Prisma ORM has received countless performance improvements over the years 📊 And we've even measured with benchmarks Here's a short recap of what we've done, where we're at, and where we're going 👇 youtu.be/z_sfTz5S3SU

Don’t want to hype it up too much but the first Prisma ORM release of 2025 is gonna be a good one. Exciting direction for the rest of the year 😎

Mean and entitled comments on open source repos are balanced by kind folks who make it all worth it. Just wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to those who are kind ❤️

So happy that we're now posting to bsky 😊

Earlier this week we published our ORM Manifesto and the feedback has been amazing 🎉 It captures our vision for the future of the ORM, what our priorities are, and what you can expect from us. Thank you to all who have shared their thoughts 🙏 pris.ly/orm-manifesto

@openvibe.bsky.social hello! I’m trying to add Threads to the app and am getting the “three dots” error. I’ve tried logging out of threads in the in-app browser and have removed the integration from the threads app, but same issue. How do I clear the in-app browser? Can’t figure that out.

I'm very excited about #prismapostgres but at the end of the day it's a tool meant to serve users. To that end, I'm happy to answer (almost) any question about Prisma Postgres. Give me hard hitting ones!

Really bummed about the browser company moving on from Arc. I think it did a lot right. Does anyone have replacement suggestions? Honestly I just need the cmd + shift + c shortcut and I’m in

Excited to be back on bsky and am now posting to the wider fediverse thanks to @ap.brid.gy Frankly I have no idea what any of this means but excited to learn.

Just thought I’d reshare this with the renewed interest in Bluesky. SkyLink is a browser extension that lets you know when a website you’re viewing is linked to a Bluesky account. Inspired by the old “RSS” button that browsers used to display when a feed was detected.

ADHD Jesse@adhdjesse.com

Announcing SkyLink, a new chrome extension for detecting new bluesky accounts while browsing the web! Like the good ol’ days of RSS, this simply lights up blue when you’re on a domain that's linked to a bluesky profile. Just click the icon to open their bluesky profile in a new tab.

Also I’m back on BSky and am going to try and cross post a lot more. We’ll see how long that lasts

I’ve found V-tuber stuff to be a bit uncanny valley for me, but recently saw one that was an N64/PS1 aesthetic and finally got it

Very happy with this week. Our team released a great major version of Prisma and my application to speak at a conference later this year was accepted! Very nervous, but very happy.
