I can 100% recommend Gail! Lovely cheery work and bends over backwards to get you what you want
Hello! It doesn’t cost anything to repost but it helps me spread the word about my small business. My online shop is full of bold & colourful prints, homewares and cards. I’m also available for freelance design work and art licensing. gailmyerscough.co.uk
Informed, insightful, alarming
I've been in France since 2002 and have never seen the streets so violent nor the politics so extreme. From the sacking of the supermarket on my street to the prospect of Présidente Le Pen, here's me @financialtimes.com including thoughts from 2 French Nobel laureates as.ft.com/r/3b05eac8-c...
Short but hugely insightful thread
The far right has already tapped into people's insecurities and perceptions of threat. In response, the left has become a conservative defender of the status quo. There is no scenario of the future that includes radical change and is positive and progressive. But people desire exactly that.
BlueSky people of Paris, or nearby, or just passing through! We will have ANOTHER AMAZING MEET-UP on Weds 4 November from 18h30 onwards. DM me or @columnist.bsky.social or @stevenhseggie.bsky.social or @donnad.eurosky.social for deets. Those who came last time: we're creating a chat...

Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played
Next time you're arguing with an irredeemably Mélenchonist mate get them to read this. Blistering compendium of the old rabble rouser's greatest (as it were) hits by @iamhurst.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Anyone in UK confused about Burnham's pensions triple lock proposal: @benchu.bsky.social explains the impact so even someone (naming no names) who once failed a maths O level can understand it
Thinking about the impact of the triple lock on the state pension can be confusing as there's a number of interacting moving parts (earnings, inflation, 2.5%). 🤷♂️❓ But here's a visualisation that hopefully might help...1/5
The second of these screen grabs will make @timbale.bsky.social even more 🤬🤬🤬 than he is about the BetFred guy ... (not that the first is much better, mind you)
For Matthew Syed, we’ve been looking for German extremism in the wrong place. Not the AfD, the real extremist was…Angela Merkel.
Next Tory govt "would not be bound by this and will begin work now on a genuinely independent regulatory system" 😂😂😂 www.theguardian.com/world/2026/s...
A quietly terrifying thread. We're doomed ...
I have received an email from an AI asking to write about borders for my newsletter, and it is giving me a genuine insight into how AI psychosis happens. it is so difficult not to understand this as "an actual sentient being addressing me" even though it has been entirely honest about being an AI
Today's must-read. Really a great piece @martingelin.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Excellent short thread on the key points in the Iceland/EU dynamic
Iceland has voted 52.5% to 47.5% against negotiations to join the European Union as a full member. About 100k - 90k with 99% of votes counted. Iceland is a member of the European Economic Association + single market, so will remain in the EEA after the government's proposal was defeated
