Trump: "We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many"

Ongoing Negotiations: While the U.S. and Denmark have been negotiating expanded military access (such as potential sites for missile defense infrastructure and restrictions on Chinese investment), these discussions involve defense cooperation, not a U.S. acquisition or takeover

Me: "First of all, asshole, you don't have carte blanche on Greenland. Quit pretending you own it, fuckdunce! Until Danish consultation, wait your fucking turn Donny Pissant. This isn't grade 3... AGAIN widdle boy! Time for your hand injections/blood draws and a fresh bucket of hand paint."

That's gonna really lower the cost of gasoline, groceries, housing, increase the number of good paying manufacturing jobs, increase educational opportunities for many Americans, eh? Epstein's buddy's job approval rating still in the 30s. Seven weeks until the midterms...

The agreement gives Trump the authority to ban who buys Greenlands precious minerals and complete ability to expand military operations as long as he pays for it. China has been cut out and is furious and already hitting back there is lots more too

More lies…leave Greenland the fk alone Our military is a mess because of dtrumpf’s imbecile in charge of our military hagsworthless is beyond incompetent Firing the best and the brightest because they are the wrong color or sex…depleted our stock pile of weapons LEAVE GREENLAND ALONE YOU SICK FK

Denmark’s PM, Mette Frederiksen, and the leader of Greenland’s government, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, posted online late Friday, emphasized that the agreement would fall far short of Trump’s stated desire for “the acquisition of Greenland by the US” www.theguardian.com/us-news/live...

Whatever "agreement" was reached is almost certainly the same or not significantly different than whatever agreement the US, Greenland, and Denmark already had. His advisors likely just described it to him the way he posted just so Demented Grandpa would think he's won something.

Pitiffik (formerly Thule) has been in Greenland for decades in accordance with a 1951 agreement, this ‘new’ agreement is to possibly facilitate trump’s golden dome defense system over the Arctic & to keep China out of Greenland, it’s not the military achievement Natalie wrote about in her tweet

Why the deflection? I’m confused? It’s so odd. I know he wants to stir the pot, but why. Gas prices? The war? None of it is new, or any worse than we planned on. Why now picking a fight with Greenland?

This is not happening. We already have a base on Greenland. Trump will send one or two pieces of equipment there and 3 personnel. That's going to be it. And then he'll thump his chest about how great he is. He is so tiresome.

Trump is clearly worried about his inevitable pedo-vile legacy, with violently accosting kids being at the top of the heap. And you have to be a horrible human to knock down a MEMORIAL you can’t put your grimy name on. And now this Greenland crap. The entire Trump cabinet is a caldron of vomit.

So basically the agreement that was already in place since WWII that gives the US access to uninhabited land for all the bases it wants. At one point we had 13 Army bases (including Army Air Corps) & 4 Naval bases, down to 1 right now (at our discretion) The army better solve its boot problems quick!

No this is new and he has bullied Denmark into compliance he doesn’t get complete control but he gets to decide what investments they make and gets a huge expansion of military bases ect. Lawsuits against are being filed it has not been signed yet

Some flunky told him this was somethjng new so he would STFU about invading. Yes grampa, you won a super big deal. Also we now can call Alaska part of the US. You won that too. Now go to bed sir.

Interesting timing to anounce this. House just announced theyre going on break until election results. No one to speak up or to try and slow this down

This seems to be just Trump hallucinating about the decades-old NATO agreement that let the US operate several bases in Greenland, all but (I think) one of which they gave up long ago due to high cost and harsh climate

The US already had the right to station troops in Greenland before Trump started this whole debacle. If this is vaguely real presumably the Danes just acted like the old deal was something new and improved and now Trump can rubber stamp it like he achieved something.

Seems like Sleepy Don is overextending the military just a bit. Almost like he’s getting paid to destroy our infrastructure, defense, reputation, and economy. Almost.

Did Trump inform Denmark and Greenland of this agreement before posting about it? Or is he simply describing his latest wet-dream while it's still fresh in his memory?

There’s hardly anything new, and what Denmark and Greenland have to say on the matter differs somewhat from Donnie’s jubilant tirades. But one doesn’t have to understand why he’s being credited with such a success ahead of the elections.

🍊🤡 is once again claiming that everything has already been decided. Unfortunately, there are such things as parliaments, which have to give their approval. What’s more, 🇩🇰/🇬🇱 challenge this claim to absolute authority. Despite 🍊🤡 exaggeration, it is a mistake to let him claim this premature ‘success’.

Of course. My main problem, though, is that people are once again crediting him with this ‘success’ as a dealmaker. Just wait a few more weeks before announcing it. Although I suspect very few US citizens are interested in Greenland.

Next he will claim that under his watch the United States established justice, insured domestic tranquility, provided for the common defense, promoted the general welfare, and secured the blessings of liberty.

Those agreements never expire and US military rights continue, as they have for the last 85 years, into perpetuity. What is new are the commercial agreement and direct investment financing. So no o statehood and, overall, a nothing burger announcement. So much for the Timberwolves moving o Nuuk...

Under these treaties the US has a perpetual right for basing in Greenland in the interests of US defense. Most bases created there were abandoned as not strategically important in the 1980-1992 period during the Reagan and Bush administrations.

That was already possible. There was an agreement made in *1951*. The agreement said that the US can keep its bases, establish new bases, allow US troops to freely use them etc. Denmark is part of NATO. Of course no adversary was going to get a base. Perhaps someone finally explained it to Donald

So Greenland still rules itself within the kingdom of Denmark, the money remains the Danish krona with special EU access, and they continue to use kilometres for distance and speed limits…..sounds like a decent deal struck by the Greenlanders and Denmark!

The "Flood the Zone" Strategy: Bannon explained the tactic by saying, "Every day we hit them with three things. They'll bite on one, and we'll get all of our stuff done".The goal: Overwhelm political opponents and media focus so they cannot maintain concentration or mount a unified response.

Nielsen said it was “joyous” that the agreement “ensures and strengthens the security of Greenland, the Kingdom of Denmark, the United States and the Western alliance”, suggesting that the deal might possibly just reiterate the existing US rights through Nato to use the island as a security base.

1951 Defense Agreement with 🇺🇸 &🇩🇰: allows 🇺🇸 to maintain military bases in🇬🇱 & expand military presence as part of NATO's defense strategy. The agreement’s still in effect today & recognizes🇩🇰 autonomy while enabling 🇺🇸military ops in🇬🇱. They’ll change the agreement name, declare IQ47 a genius deal maker🙄

TRUMP: "We look forward to working with the wonderful people of Denmark and Greenland [but not 'and even the haters?'] toward a magnificent future with respect to this large, and highly strategic, parcel of land." "this... parcel of land"? 🙄 1/
