On a work trip Leeds to Birmingham: "Great I can do a bit of work on the way down without being disturbed" UK cellular networks: "We can make sure you don't get disturbed"

Seinfeld and Frasier to me are like LIDL and ALDI. I know they're different yet my brain treats them as a single entity.

Ok I tried being nice, but c'mon guys!? These holes are filled are they?

Got tradespeople in, doing trades. Amazing to see them just doing their thing, that they're experts in. Nothing fazes them, they just get stuck in. Because they know their job and have the skills to pay the bills. Anyway. Be nice to tradespeople. Get them a cuppa. And biscuits. And a nice cold drink

Was in Sainsbury's tonight where a lad was whizzing about the aisles on a DIY e bike. None of the staff were bothered. Did my civic duty and said "I'm not sure you're meant to be riding that inside", to which he replied "Erm, yeah I think I am" and promptly whizzed off again. All a bit surreal tbh

Think I might have found the final push to get over the inertia of booking a doctors appointment for my very own referral.

"Today I'm going to have the most productive day EVER!" is how my brain felt this morning. Let's see how long I can ride this for.

Being on holiday is great and all, but there's something to be said for the muscle memory of knowing exactly where the tea bags, mugs and the switch for the kettle are without looking.

The weird part of my brain is imagining him claiming he is issuing an executive order confirming USMNT were the superior team this year and as such he is keeping the trophy for himself.

Sack her, bin her policies, eject her into the outer darkness. The worst case of Home Office brain I’ve ever seen

Since PM resigned, Home Office blitzing media 1030pm nightly Thursday: "Govt ramps up use of military barracks to house asylum seekers" + Home Sec tells No 10 Immig Minister should be sacked. Friday: New safe routes to save asylum system Tonight: "Asylum seekers to pay towards accomodation costs"

Tell you what I love. Those adverts where the person pretends to be talking to a smart speaker. Need more of those types of ads.

Currently part way through getting a partial garage conversion to a 'utility / home office' and all I can think of is how this might feature in a future #DuvetKnowItsChristmas skeet to @rhodri.biz

Working in IT, it's so frustrating to see so many great / hilarious names & usernames whilst being professionally bound to never discuss them publicly (for obvious reasons. )

If we can extend this to drinks, I'd vote for Whisky. Do I want to drink expensive soily water? No I do not. It tastes better if you add a bit of non-soily water? No it does not!

My daughter has essentially taught herself to crochet watching YouTube, which ironically means she now spends much less time on 'screens' and more time with wool and crochet hook in hand. This sledgehammer to crack a nut approach is a real shame for all the good educational content out there.

Can I just say that after paying over £500 to get planning permission to put a window in my garage so I can use it as an office, I'm over the moon at the thought of paying the same again to make sure it meets building regs 😩

Condemning riots isn't enough. We need policy action, including an immediate appraisal of X as a vehicle for coordinating far-right disorder. And we need political leadership, to challenge white nationalism as an idea, not to validate it daily and then complain when it turns violent.

Colleague shared a lovely note on the intranet about his Hajj experience and it was so full of love, peace and joy that... well, "Be excellent to each other" was the message I took from it.

Well up for this but... how many by-elections will it take for him to actually get a seat? Imagining a scenario 2 years from know where the last Labour MP has finally stepped down, Burnham has got in on a pity vote, we've got a massive Reform majority, with a new Labour leader in charge of...himself

🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham is now odds on to become the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Feeling a bit dazed, like the day after Brexit referendum. Like these Reform voters can't all have been misled. There really is a big chunk of my fellow countryfolk who were just looking for someone to legitimise their racism 😔

Not the biggest issue of the day but every time I hear an M&S ad for 'picky bits' it makes my skin crawl. Who came up with this phrase? Makes me think of scabs
