@joshturek4iowa.bsky.social I am glad I do not live in Iowa. I hope you win but I’m so glad not to make the choice between a despicable republican and a man willing to throw trans folks under the bus to appeal to a base that doesn’t represent anyone worth your vote.

I’ve never heard a single example of a trans girl sexually assaulting a cis female teammate, let alone dozens of them, but I’ve heard of Larry Nassar, and yet.

East coast, Great Lakes, Mississippi River states, you all have a chance at a good kitten! Fantastically socialized and immunized!

The Wanlorn@the-wanlorn.bsky.social

Hey y'all. I've got one 6mo old kitten to find a home for left. I'm delivering one from Massachusetts to New Mexico this week so if anyone in that general line of travel needs a very very very friendly male kitten, please hit me up soon! He has all his shots, just isn't neutered yet.

6. By six votes. Don't think for one second your vote doesn't matter. Your vote could be the difference between decent, thoughtful, smart representation and whatever messed up plan the Republican party has in mind. Friends and family and Iowa? Give 'em a call. Let them know what you know.

Josh Turek@joshturek4iowa.bsky.social

I won my first election by just 6 votes. I would drag my wheelchair up stairs just to knock on someone’s door. Why? Because that’s how important your vote is to me.

Not only did I meet Robert Kraft, I worked for him. His kid Jonathan asked me to “remove the black music” from my gameday playlist in ‘94 & I refused so they fired me. I was the cheerleader director at the time. I sued them for wrongful termination and won. So yes, I know that motherfucker.

Did you ever meet Bob Kraft?

In terms of continuing to expand the ai bubble that $22m in compute costs and stolen work is probably priceless, but imagine spending that much to fund artists or poets for a year or literally any other direct labor support investment, and compare the real world value generated…it makes me weep.

In the state of RI, the so called “arts state”, it’s easier & more likely for an artist to meet the Mayor, Governor, and our senators than to meet the current director of the RISD Museum of Art.

‘Gotcha’ day for Boo. We’ve had him a year - brought him home when he was 12, with his medical folder. I love this little, homely guy.

A Google user left a one-star review of the New Bedford Whaling Museum coining the phrase. Last fall, the museum began selling shirts and hoodies with the review on the back and a whale skeleton on the front. What the museum lacks in in live aquaculture, it makes up for in skeletons.

This is a good example of the fear that ICE has engendered in so many. A man here completely legally with nothing (on paper) to fear from ICE took off running when they showed up at a gas station and was struck by a passing truck. Awful.

NEW INFO HAS REVEALED that the 28-year-old Mexican man killed while running from ICE last week was just visiting on short tourist visa—and already had a plane ticket to go home. newrepublic.com/post/213277/...

In April I published a book about Americans' centuries-long effort to come to terms with slavery's place in George Washington's legacy. I'm also taking on more writing and speaking gigs about history, museums, and how Americans are engage with the past. I could use your help spreading the word!

ICE desperately wants you not to care about this story But we must. The killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican national striving for his American Dream, is a moral outrage, and a warning. ICE hopes you won't notice that mass deportation is back My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/ice-...

This is tragic - there are members of my family who fought along US soldiers during the Vietnam War. I can't imagine the betrayal and anger I would feel if my supposed ally sought to deport a loved one and killed them in the process. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...

I am extremely disappointed that Attorney General Keith Ellison, who was just endorsed by the DFL, has still refused to sign this pledge. I am equally disappointed by Governor candidate Senator Amy Klobuchar's refusal to sign as well.
