"macro by example" is a terrible and confusing name because it sounds like it's about examples showing how to use macros in general "Declarative macro" isn't wrong but still can cause confusion about what "declarative" means Something like "macro by pattern" or "pattern macro" would be best IMHO

and then there's the actual definition with macro_rules and like, sure when you figure it out it's the "match rules" but "pattern_macro" would work a bit better

My #rustlang take for today is that a function accessed through method notation (val.method) but not called (so, without brackets) should evaluate to a closure of a form |arguments| { val.method(arguments) } Currently it evaluates to a function pointer

its very funny that there is now a claim that code is cheap because like.. you're still paying devs and now you're paying Anthropic too if you were a solo dev, code used to be free, you weren't paying yourself, but now you pay Anthropic code is actually more expensive now lol

My #rustlang take for today is that a function accessed through method notation (val.method) but not called (so, without brackets) should evaluate to a closure of a form |arguments| { val.method(arguments) } Currently it evaluates to a function pointer

This is basically partial application but less boilerplate-ry than making a whole new closure and is also specific for method notation

This comes from having a "context" struct with a method wrap<T>(&self, v: T) -> Wrapper<T> where the wrapper contains the value and reference to the shared context

thinking again about the guy who reviewed the pronoun palace soundtrack with no understanding of the game and kept being baffled that every track settled into a mellow portion

IF THE WORD 'COPE' WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF TWEETS IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE COPE I FEEL AT THIS MICRO INSTANT

Woke up and locked tf in refactoring a module for several hours, that was awesome. But I need actual food and not a couple of oreos

I should try neutral gray as a background for drawing, because I seem to underestimate how saturated colors are Or maybe it's a viewing angle issue Or maybe it's color transmission from my main monitor Or maybe a combination of both

The one year anniversary of #Unbeatable is coming(9th of December). And I still can't believe I lived to play a game like these one Not perfect. But that's the cool part. Everyone should play it.

ok one thing I don't like in several of the brush dynamics presets is speed determining brush size also the lowest pressure point feels too low and when I press down it feels... bad The nib is already a bit eroded Thankfully that's all adjustable and I got *plenty* of replaceable nibs

Yes I am continuing to draw in gimp you will not be able to stop me

Edgerunners 1 was about "the fire that burns" Edgerunners 2 seems to be about the smoldering embers left after a fire (just my interpretation)

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps: -It’s ‘sleight of hand’ -It’s ‘bated breath’ -It’s ‘lo and behold’ -It's 'buck naked' -It’s ‘brass tacks’ -It’s ‘free rein’ -It’s ‘toe the line'

The fact that wacom Just Works™ on Android via OTG is really cool I did have to adjust my Gentoo config options (adding wacom to INPUT_DEVICES) but otherwise a lot of stuff was pretty much plug-and-play. Even GIMP! Except osu It is very fucked up with osu flatpak I do not want to play osu though

back when I had ideas of my own cyberpunk-genre game I had a fear 2077 will just do everything I could think of and mean I don't get to make it and have it be good Well, I don't really have that fear anymore Though the cyberpunk genre saturation feels like a possibility

ugh this is making me want to play cyberpunk 2077 but it's not the same...................
