I'm probably interested in your story. Whatever it is. Health and Housing as a Human Right Advocate. Currently working the Affordable Housing side in this beautiful neighborhood: https://mplswestbank.org/

5-10 min read: 15 posts in total. Why Minnesota is the ONLY state in the nation to refuse requests to acquiesce a civil war era battle flag. We hold the line while the union regroups. It is our history. And history repeats itself. Cheers, Minnesota. Enjoy.

2nd July 1863. Battle of Gettysburg. For perhaps the only time in the entire war the Confederates seem to be winning. Dan Sickles, commander III Corps, is ordered hold on Cemetery Ridge. For reasons unknown he advances. Broken, his men begin to flee. This is the moment on which the war depends /1

I noticed this as well. Genuinely gross, but honest content. Ai is a nefarious set of tools.

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

I've also had similar experiences, but no time to articulate today, so I'm sharing this very solid thread that aligns with literally everything I know about Minnesotans and Ilhan Omar. 5 posts - 1 min read and worth your time.

TBH, I've always felt weird in a wide variety ways.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t. If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious. When did you first realize you were weird?

Reposting because this drive is still active and I haven't been asking much since the "drawdown", but my Somali neighbors are under attack again, so please support one of their strongest neighborhoods. The beautiful Cedar-Riverside. Thanks.

More federal raids in Minneapolis Cedar-Riverside. And that reminds me -- People are still frightened here. And these fascists keep grinding away at our morale, our local economies. We take care of our own. Thank you.

I want everyone to get on team Keith Ellison and stump hard for him. That race is too important and too close. Corrupt - bootlicking pro ICE as our top cop. Too important. Too close. Call your loved ones in the suburbs and tell them why this race matters to us in the city - real conversations.

1st win at home vs Michigan since 1977 PJ Fleck just said this is the best day of his life. :) I wish everyone in Minnesota gets that feeling at their job or project at some point in the coming year(s) ...from under the big federal boots of oppression. Beast Mode It - At Whatever You Do.

IME going all the way back to the 90's, Eden Prairie football has chronically had a reputation of having troublesome activities at games with fandom bullying or antagonizing the rivals or whatnot. But whatever happened, I sure hope everyone is okay over there.

And just to return back to all you beautiful residents and your fires, probably enjoying gorgeous eve with a few real friends, thanks again for the aromatic drive home. A subtle reminder that we're thinking about another new winter coming.... And so __ Fuck ICE. 5/5

I was driving home from work: Cedar-Riverside via Powderhorn Park for a friend, back up to Lake Street over to St Paul and toward the East Side. Fall incoming, windows down, and neighborhood after neighborhood ya'lls back yard campfires were calling to me, and I love you, Minnesotans.

I get closer to home and I it is still day, but now fall, and it is dusk. I notice that my entire greater East Side hood is nearly entirely devoid of street lights from wire theft. I don't know if we're to blame the new Mayor for lack of response

This resonated with me. It does not do justice to the brutal truth of the story. It falls woefully short to not call a thing by its name. I'll never just say "the 7" again about predators. I am grateful for her youthful strength and insight. That's power.

She said, "I would love for people to stop calling the Cornell rapists “the Cornell 7”. In our society, when we speak about a group of people by the number of “members” for lack of a better word, it often implies that they were victimized in some way. cont...

“Thank you, Secretary Noem, for your steady leadership and for standing behind the men and women who protect our nation. Please extend our gratitude to the ICE agents serving in Minnesota and across the country. We stand with them. Sincerely, Ben Davis, Lisa Demuth, Harry Niska”

Project True North@projtruenorth.bsky.social

During the ICE surge, Lisa Demuth signed a letter thanking ICE and praising Kristi Noem for her "steady leadership."

Just saving this for later, so I can laugh at him again. Enjoy the moment, Sen. Klobuchar. Nice dunk. This twit is humiliated and shaking with red-faced rage. (the Hawks) lol

A phenomenal moment in the Senate. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta. Smith denies it. Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury. Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland. WATCH IN FULL, UNINTERRUPTED

She has now been sleeping with her body pressed against my torso, every night for the past 3 weeks. The trust building transition is nearly complete. She's so goddam sweet. Isn't it funny how they just "decide" to claim you one day and never go back?

More slowly evolving progress with *new (over a year now) cat, Wendy Torrance. She came over to paw at me and snuggle this AM in bed w/o being intoxicated on the catnip. She's very independent, but warming up. And she has the cutest squeakiest little mews; borders on chirping. At night she's a ghost

ICE agent Christian Castro makes first appearance in state court for shooting and wounding a man in north Minneapolis in January. He was arrested in downtown Minneapolis yesterday. He appears in federal court early tomorrow morning on charges of lying to FBI. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

mprnews.orgICE agent charged with shooting, wounding man during Operation Metro Surge arrested in MinneapolisChristian Castro is due to make an initial appearance in Hennepin County court on Thursday afternoon on state charges, and in federal court in St. Paul on Friday morning on federal charges.

This idea to go ahead and close some MPLS schools after the windfall of budget overreach and stay home on call police overtime spending -because ICE was here- is horribly disenfranchising to civilians who just want healthy kids and a somewhat smart community.
