The year is 2026. Are you making a Star Fox inspired game? I want to play it. I want to support your Kickstarter. I want to edit a trailer. (I'd also like to voice a random background character but that's not a support thing I just think it would be neat) Show me your game! I'll probably like it!

Every year on the other site I would make a pinned post asking people to send me their Star Fox-like indie projects. Over the years I've played and gotten involved with some fantastic games and back quite a few kickstarters. Happy to give feedback, edit trailers, or just say good job! Send me stuff!

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

For the second time in a year, I have stopped to appreciate this texture. Now on Switch 2.

I distinctly remember seeing these watermelons in Toy Story 2 for N64 and having this realization that a 3D model in a game could lie. It was fun to grow up with N64 and pick apart the tricks. Because what 8 year old isn't pondering flat fruit. To this day I get nostalgic for these kind of textures.

Official Star Fox Adventures flash game. This is of course the canon sequel to Star Fox 64 :P

Lastly… Starfox Adventures inspired game (???). archive.org/details/star... I have more games to upload, just gotta dig in next folder. Might not be until tomorrow. So with that… good night! :)

Something that remains impressive to me in this game is the experience of fighting a monster in the middle of the night. Those moments of waiting for the light of a stray spell to light it up so you know where it is are incredible.

We're getting WING COMMANDER FMVs, gang!!! Jim Vessella found over 600 source tapes in the EA archives and have been restoring them

It's apparently up to all of Iowa to stop Josh Turek but ONLY my dad can stop Lindsay James. Do you think I should let him know? That's a lot of pressure to put on a guy his age.

Rolled credits, that was pretty darn good. Glad it found its way to Switch, it has been on my Steam wishlist for years without me getting around to it.

Since it's out today I'll mention that Kaytee and I have been playing through Quern on Nintendo Switch and really enjoying it. A little ugly compared to the original PC version but still a really solid Myst-like. I'll have a full review once we finish it.

Hi folks-- We're starting on our next indexing project, and we're building our volunteer team! If you have some degree of Japanese fluency and want to help index periodicals for VGHF, hit me up here

Starting today, we're piloting Japanese magazines in our digital archive! We've spent the last few months upgrading our library infrastructure to support Japanese-language material, starting with the magazine Neo Geo Freak. Read the full blog post for more info: gamehistory.org/5k-magazines/

For those of you not paying attention to the Iowa Gubernatorial Race, it's between a very sassy little nerd who was so good at being auditor that the governor had to nerf him, and a dude we can't seem to confirm lives in Iowa. There is a correct answer here :P

Rob Sand is right.... I don't think we're done talking about the Kansas issue. #IAGov #IApolitics

scheduling roof repair is fascinating because you just never know if you're going to get a person in an office ready to schedule an appointment or a dude on a roof who 100% isn't writing anything down.

Since I'm very briefly in the end of this clip, I figure it's safe to mention that there is an interview with me as part of the Croc 2 behind the scenes content. It was awesome to be included and share my perspective on this era of video game history :)

#Croc was a hit. So, what came next? Here's a first look at the Croc2mentary from the Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos remaster 🐊 Wishlist Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos, coming to PS5, PS4, Switch, XBOX Series X|S, Steam & GOG on October 29! argonautgames.com/cr... #Croctober #Croc2

Also I suspect the Fichina battle theme (a level where you harvest green crystals) being called "The Brightest Stars" may be a Star Wars Rogue One Reference. "The strongest stars have hearts of Kyber"

I just wrote a 1,500 word script on this stupid level over the course of 20 minutes... So look forward to that :P

I'm probably reading too much into it but how come the rest of the multiplayer stages predominantly make use of assets from their respective single player iterations but Katina is using entirely brand new assets? Why set this in Area 6. Why did you build these for this one stage?

This is Music Man. He's doing the plot to Music Man. He googled ponzi scheme that works in Iowa and found a summary of the hit Broadway production Music Man. He just replaced the marching band with a steel mill.

This is a real interaction! Imagine smiling while Trump calls your state "troubled people" that will "never be good" without Federal intervention! But, hey, at least he was awake and didn't grab any of them "by the p-word"! Winning? #brennabird #ashleyhinson #MMM Watch: bsky.app/profile/head...

Was delighted to contribute to this. I can also pretty much guarantee you I didn't write about any of the games you might expect me to write about ;)

I found important Star Fox lore late last night so I'm resharing it now that people might be awake :P

Also you can see the remnants of the Saucerer in the skybox below the map. Further confirmation that canonically the multiplayer takes place after the Lylat Wars are over.

"Why *not* set this in Area 6?" is what I meant to type. It already has assets that could be easily adapted for this game mode. They went out of their way to build an entirely new take on Katina. Weird.
