Oh my god, he just was in Coyote V. Acme as like, half the cast—way, way too soon. Feel awful for his family. 😣

Just a periodic, friendly reminder that we could actually avoid all this by not caring who’s attracted to, who’s having sex with who, who’s marrying who, let alone believing any of it should matter in public policy. We could just all mind our own business and all have rights. ✨

What the Attorney General of the United States seems to not understand, but the people who matter do, is that Congress hasn’t given DOJ any authority to block states from certifying the election. This isn’t a thing. And we don’t have to pretend it’s a thing just because he says it’s a thing.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

🚨🚨🚨 Q: Is there any scenario in which DOJ would try to block states from certifying the election? AG TODD BLANCHE: Yes, of course. It is not DOJ's intention to improperly interfere with elections or the state certification process, but ...

Oh for fucks's sake! This story completely omits the fact that there was enough evidence that her stepfather abused her, that authorities removed her and her brother from the home, and that the stepfather was indicted. That's important context.

Public schools in Utah banned a best-selling Jodi Picoult novel and ordered all copies destroyed. So ... Picoult arrived at a Salt Lake City high school this weekend with 600 copies of the book. And she gave them all away, for free. "Applause and cheers erupted." www.sltrib.com/news/educati...

it's a bit concerning that instead of responding to obvious political incentives and moderating on some of their worst and most unpopular policies, the Trump administration is getting more and more extreme

this is honestly one of the worst and most irresponsible things he has ever posted, and that's really saying something

Trump tries to start a race war: "The once Great State of Minnesota is being taken over by Somali Immigrants ... The Somalians should not be allowed to get away with what they are doing. They view you as weak and stupid people. Fight back Minnesota, fight back!"

In the presidential immunity case, the court considered a hypothetical of a president ordering Navy Seals to assassinate an American political rival. Trump's lawyer argued unambiguously yes, since it'd be an "official act." The Roberts Court ruled in his favor, 6-3. Why wouldn't Trump believe this?

Trump: "I could've done very bad things to Hillary Clinton. I could've done very very bad things to Joe Biden. I could've done very bad things to Barack Hussein Obama ... I can do whatever I want, if I want."

They're holding up a major escalation in Iran and a crackdown on abortion until after the midterms to limit political damage. To the extent that the last two years have been a right-wing smash-and-grab operation, the next two will be worse.

HOLY SHIT! The Trump administration paid federal employees $9.5 BILLION for paid administrative leave as part of DOGE's effort to shrink the federal government. Absolute incompetence.

I hope Trump keeps naming things America until all 50 states are just called America. All the bodies of water are America. Every hill and ditch is America. Is my name America too? Maybe. Could be. Who knows?

Trump was 4 miles from the Twin Towers in his office on 5th avenue watching it on TV and then the smoke in the distance out of the window as his own lawyer has made clear in interviews previously. There were no fireman who carried him out of his office.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump claims he was basically lifted out of the rubble on 9/11: "Two fireman, big strong guys, they grabbed me under the arms -- 'got to get our of here!' -- and they literally lifted me up, and they started running with me."
