As much as I get wrapped up in the new Bears swagger, maybe they should wait until the team's wins are based more on talent than on luck before trying to become the NFL's most hated team

I admit to not being very astute when it comes to climate change and science, other than I support every effort to mitigate its negative effects (and recycle bins are mostly worthless), so I ask this honestly: AC is good now?

My crankiest old man take is that referring to all art/entertainment/journalism/criticism/comedy/advertising as “content” helped pave the way for broad-ish acceptance of AI slop.

The legendary game designer, distributor, and publisher Louis Zocchi has left us at the age of 91. He founded Zocchi Distribution (the first distributor dedicated exclusively to hobby games) and Gamescience (which made games and polyhedral dice).

Folks, I'm here to tell you to download and play the demo for Esoteric Ebb...OR ELSE! (It's the fantasy RPG Disco Elysium* we've been waiting for) *we need a catchy term for these style of games like "roguelikes" or "roguelites"; something less confusing though

There are a great number of smart and talented people I admire who say "sportsball", and my initial reaction is to kick them so violently that they travel back in time to 2007.

As if we needed another reminder that this is a joyless administration that doesn't promote any sense of wonder and curiosity

The Factbook survived the Cold War and became a hit online. It mixed quirky cultural notes and trivia with maps, data, and photos taken by CIA officers. But it was discontinued this week.

I lived in Minneapolis for a couple of years in the mid 00's and loved my time there. I had to leave due to life circumstances but always half-joked that I'd move back there when I retire. I'm starting to think I need to make that happen for real

Reduced my Game Pass Ultimate to Premium but I'm on the verge of cancelling it outright. The current perks of Ultimate don't hold a lot of sway for me - an old. patient gamer with a backlog. (1/2)

I don't care what anyone else says, but I love Destiny expansion day! I've had my issues with it - namely it's difficulty (which is a skill issue, I admit) and some fiddly nonsense with the season vendors - but when Destiny is good, it's VERY good

The first superhero comic I ever bought was Secret Wars II #1 and I loved it. Jim Shooter's tenure with Valiant comics is probably my favorite era of comic books. His revisit with those classic Gold Key characters with Dark Horse is so good and worth reading #JimShooter #comicbooks

Under Par: Golf Architect's announcement may have went under the radar, but if you've been waiting for a game to fill the SimGolf hole that's been in your heart for a long, long time -- give this one a try! You can sign up for a testing version on Steam, hopefully other platforms soon!

Destiny 2's "enemy density" thing is killing the game for me, an old casual player. I can't finish the episode 1 because of bugs, I won't finish the episode 2 because it's designed weird and bad, and I won't finish the episode 3 because I'm just tired of sweating during story missions #Destiny2

I get that I'm old and bad, but Destiny was always at it's best when it catered to casuals and sweats. I hope The Edge of Fate brings that back. And I'm begging Bungie to please include checkpoints in the longer missions. Losing on the last phase and having to restart does not feel good

I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"

Huh, holding a rally to motivate and educate instead of holding out a tin cup and an overturned hat begging for money and/or votes. Seems like AOC and Sanders are on to something

AOC: One thing I love about Arizonans is that you all have shown that if a US Senator isn’t fighting hard enough for you, you’re not afraid to replace her with one who will.
