Thank you, Ms. Hamilton ❤️🍻

There would have been no successful Apollo program without the brilliance & dedication of Margaret Hamilton, who built the software from nothing. "We had to find a way, and we did. Looking back, we were the luckiest people in the world; there was no choice but to be pioneers.” Godspeed, Mrs Hamilton

We love these *Friendly* reminders that Washington is earthquake country. Especially when they arrive just a couple weeks before the Great ShakeOut earthquake drill coming up at 10:15 on 10/15! (We promise, we didn't plan this. ...We can't actually do that).

PRELIM Earthquake: Magnitude 4.3, 18.9 km SSW from Bremerton, WA at 2026/09/29 14:05 PDT Learn more: pnsn.org/event/714111952 Did You Feel It? Submit a report: zpr.io/UA6upKKXB4C3

I feel like the people of Arizona are lucky to have a person like this running for public office. I’m envious. 👍

During WW2, all Americans were called to Warrior Up and fight against fascism. Diné, the beautiful language I first learned in my family home, helped turn the tide of the war.

Unbelievable He screwed up the economy and destroyed farmers with his first set of tariffs Then followed that up by absolutely crippling the country when he attacked Iran And despite the fact that the Supreme Court-in a rare anti Trump decision-struck down the tariffs Somehow he’s at it AGAIN

Really amazing how #Apple fails to fix bugs they introduce with iOS updates. Bluetooth is still not working correctly since 26.5. Items will not reconnect until they are removed, BT toggles off and on, and then re-paired. Every single time. The web is full of people with the same issue.

Great breakdown of the pool issue. Great post, Buttons!

Since I did do my PhD in cyanobacteria growth and treatment optimization modeling AND work in the water treatment industry, I’m gonna share my theory as to what’s happening here and how to fix it. People are focusing on the painted bottom of the pool increasing residual heat, and while that 1/19

A quick fire pit at the end of the day. A little herb, listening to #OTT - One Day I Wish To Have This Kind Of Time. I pick up an odd piece of scrap wood to toss in to the fire, and I see this. I think my heart stopped.

Everyone should read this. It’s stuff we all might already know, but very well put together. Thanks, Aaron.

New in PN: Trump's cognitive impairment endangers us all "No one in the administration has offered a remotely plausible explanation for Trump’s various physical ailments, and any questions about his clear cognitive challenges are met by the White House with disdain, denial, mockery, and lies."

I felt the same way about the New York Times and the Washington Post since the election, but tons of big accounts continue to amplify their content as well as engaging on X. I try to point it out, but it’s like screaming into the void.

This post is unavailable.

I fully agree. It’s so frustrating to see us stuck in the mud while the world moves forward.

The Iran intelligence assessment revealed more than a failed military strategy. It revealed a president trapped in a 20th century worldview while confronting 21st century crises. From drones to AI to housing to healthcare, this is becoming the defining problem. open.substack.com/pub/adamkinz...

“Give us the right kind of leader and, like the most suggestible subjects of the hypnotherapists, we will gladly do just about anything he wants—even things we know to be wrong.” — Carl Sagan

I agree with all of David’s points here. We need massive changes to our system of government. What we have now is NOT for the people, but for the people in power, at our expense.

Note to my fellow Dems: The 2026 and 2028 elections will be "change" elections. But mere promises to change or talking points about change won't do the trick. Candidates need to embody change. They need to be the change we want to see. It's not about a position. It's about who they are.

And yet a shit ton of large dem/left accounts will continue to post links to New York Times articles. I don’t care if the link is a freebie, people shouldn’t be posting NYT links and we shouldn’t be clicking them unless we support what they support.

Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?

Is this what you voted for, all you Republican friends and family out there? Your kin are now considered the enemy. Do NOT tell me this is the same as when Biden was POTUS. You've destroyed our country for a generation at best, regardless of what you thought. Stop supporting this party!

The New Yorker@newyorker.com

“Enshittification” was a term coined by Cory Doctorow, in 2022, to describe how the technologies that dominated our daily lives seemed to be all getting worse at the same time. Now, in a new book, he expands on the word that has become bleakly relevant.

This is quite possibly the most sanitized, white-washed hagiography of Charlie Kirk. You can and should condemn his murder AND accurately describe his life devoted to hate, division and bigotry. It's all there. He didn't hide it. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Buttigieg: I’m not even an elected official or running for anything— I’m here. I can’t help but notice a lot of people who are elected officials aren’t. There’s a reason for that. They don’t want to have to explain this stuff

It cost two world wars and a great depression to teach 20th century Republicans why isolationism and protectionism were wrong. Let's hope that the education of 21st century Republicans will cost less - but it's already expensive enough.

This is a direct and intentional attack on the people of the Pacific Northwest to punish us for our disloyalty to the Trumpist regime. If you don't think the ultimately goal is to privatize the BPA and put it in the hands of oligarchs, you aren't paying attention.

Look at what you did to our country. Every one of you who voted for this miserable bastard. Every one of you who didn’t vote, for whatever stupid, selfish reason.

Bringing my pinned Tweet along with me as I migrate here because this still matters & because we cannot normalize what Trump intends to do to DOJ. Justice should never be a political tool for presidents & their pals.

You are up to date.
