🧵 Elon Musk has donated a staggering $369M to influence the 2026 elections, making him the largest individual political donor in modern US history. And yet, he continues to invoke George Soros as a shadowy force secretly manipulating elections and the world as we know it. Let’s take a closer look.

Perhaps consider living your life in such a way that you don't fear for your safety attending a basketball game. Also, since the shooting at my school, I also fear for my life in large crowds. Does that mean I can also get a free private suite at all events?

In fairness, *Hegseth's" public execution might be a draw...

John Hatch@johnhatch.bsky.social

This also aligns with Hegseth's public execution. A majority of Americans support capital punishment because they see it as justice for committing murder. But Republicans are so stuck in their freakish little bubble they think the average person is out here going, "Wish I could throw the switch!"

Boulder folks....

I'd argue it's a feature, not a bug...

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Hair loss has become one of the most reported concerns among people taking GLP-1 drugs — so much so that the phenomenon has earned the nickname “Ozempic hair.” New research offers a clue about a possible biological connection in men:

Kansas has 4 former, living GOP governors. Two have now endorsed Adam Hamilton, the Dem, for Senate. Mike Hayden just penned this oped in the Kansas City Star this morning; Adam Graves had done the same last month.

The US already got a do over. A mulligan. A second chance. Much of the world, especially US allies, were ready to write off Trump’s first term as a fluke. The American people’s choice to put him back in power—as a convicted felon, after an openly bigoted, anti-democracy campaign—showed it was not.

Max Fawcett@maxfawcett.bsky.social

This is the part many Americans -- including the Bezosites at the Washington Post -- don't understand. Canadians don't see this just as a Trump thing. It's that America elected him twice, and the second time with an even bigger mandate. The problem we're addressing is America, not Trump.

It's pretty damn impressive how much ground Mayor Mamdani has been able to cover after only nine months in office on a wide range of basic quality-of-life issues in NYC. I was reading through the numbers this morning, and they're kinda astonishing. (thread)

The crash of the news helicopter is tragic and sad. But I still don't understand why we (they) have them. I just don't see any value add, they (at least to me) seem to just exist to give us horrifying visuals that aren't necessary and aren't worth the risk, the expense, and the environmental impact

NEW: In a new audio recording, GOP Gov nominee Victor Marx suggests that his campaign filed someone else's large contribution under Marx's name to avoid campaign finance limits.

Respectfully, Mr. Sheerhan, by agreeing to drop him from your tour you *are* taking sides.

Don Moynihan@donmoyn.bsky.social

Yikes, if this is accurate, its basically the owner class using their power to shut down dissent. The Patriots Robert Kraft told Sheerhan his concert would be cancelled if Mackelmore stayed on the your, and that other stadium owners would follow suit.

Not that anyone cares, but my position is still that AI is overhyped (by many) in the short run, but underappreciated (by most) in the long run. I fear that many smart people are dismissing it outright (including the dangers), and that worries me.
