Preact 11 has been long in the making and I'm really proud of what came out the other end. It has quite some history as we first started working on a backing-node (fiber-like) structure for Preact but reversed.

Just to recap, Trump has taken the extraordinary step of federalizing 2000 member of the California National Guard — over the objections of the state’s governor — in response to a protest that currently involves A FEW DOZEN PEOPLE AT A HOME DEPOT

The arrest of online fanfic erotica writers (99% young women) in China is still ongoing, some are getting sentenced to 10 years in prison I didn’t see any newer international coverage of this but I saw on Weibo today that more writers are getting sentenced right now amp.scmp.com/news/china/p...

Anyway I tried out Cursor last night and was shocked at how bad it was out of the box. And only marginally better after some tweaks. I continue to find the complete randomness of experiences with LLMs to be pretty baffling.

Is there any public @ipfs.tech node (not gateway - means something with port 5001 open)? For sure only reading stuff enabled. Would need it for a CI job where it would not be feasible to start a node every time the CI runs

Anthropic tend to do this research and then say, "See! The AI lies to us!" In reality, it is just evidence that LLMs work exactly how the skeptics claim they work (i.e., without deep understanding). CoT helps because it creates second-order token groups in attention, nothing more.

It's Pancake Day! Time to EAT PANCAKES in HONOR OF MACHIAVELLI! What do pancakes have to do with the founder of modern political science? Our boy Nick was obsessed with pancakes! & wrote about them at length in his "Art of War." Why pancakes? He'd been studying the ancients of course! 1/?

you will live to see your niche autistic special interests become geopolitically significant and thus be overrun with pro-grifters and counter-zealots with equally empty understanding

Weekend 🐇🕳️: Bsky-feeds only require a stable GET URL that responds with JSON containing a list of post IDs. With an ArNS name, anything that can write JSON to Arweave can control a feed, including AO 👀 Posts might even be ingested via 0rbit 🤔

Probably more efficient to archive all posts on Arweave and then read them in AO via WeaveDrive. Who's funding this?! 🤣

What is your dev AI of choice? 🤖 I'm currently using GitHub Copilot, and I think it's okay-ish. I also used Amazon Q, which felt marginally better than Copilot. Any recommendations? 👀

Got inspired by tRPC and tried end-to-end typing for AO processes. Works pretty well, thanks to TypeScript-to-Lua!

NFTs on Arweave are stored onchain. They are called "atomic assets" because all NFT data can be stored on Arweave with a single TX.

We often get asked: What's the difference between a 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 and a regular NFT? It's pretty simple. Hashinals store every byte of data directly on-graph using the Hedera Consensus Service. Regular NFTs store data 𝐨𝐟𝐟-𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧, typically on IPFS or Arweave.

The deadline for AO mainnet is February 8th ⏳ I hope to take Junction to MVP stage until then 👀 If anyone is interested in web3 web analytics, let me know! 📊

Just hit 100 followers here! 🥳 Wish you all the best for the next year, and stay tuned for updates on my Arweave & AO projects 👀

most interesting framework for the sixth year running, most positively viewed for the second (usual caveats apply! but, like... the people have spoken. if you're starting a new web project, use @svelte.dev)

❓To all small software companies: are you ISO 27001 certified? If so, which tools and providers would you recommend? We are investigating our options to achieve an ISO 27001 certification in 2025 for attachmentAV and other products.

I made two graphs to illustrate AO. How it seems, i.e., logical ♾ How it is, i.e., physical 🧱

Do I have any React Native or Expo followers who can help me figure this out? I just want to understand the magic numbers I need here. App needs to have a Drawer w/ a Tabs inside it, and for some reason, that causes KeyboardAvoidingView to be incorrect, and need adjustment.
