Listen to Sen Cory Booker rip into anyone who voted for the CR! He’s pledged to hold the floor tonight for as long as possible. Let’s lift him up and show him support as he gets in good trouble! @booker.senate.gov @corybooker.com

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific. If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

Today, the House GOP censured me for speaking out for the American people against @POTUS’s plan to cut Medicaid. I accept the consequences of my actions, but I refuse to stay silent in the face of injustice. #WeShallOvercome x.com/repalgreen/s...

Today's dinner, Pollo con papas en salsa verde.

Rye old fashioned.

Smoked pork loin, patatas bravas (did not have the ingredients for the sauce), smoked asparagus.

we're so incredibly lucky to have Mexico on our border. it's insane some people think otherwise so many of its problems are either of America's making or just natural problems that so many countries have - *especially ones that are oppressed and violated as we have done to Mexico* Give Mexico love

Hundreds of Mexican Firefighters arrived both today and yesterday in Southern California, to assist with the ongoing Wildfires in Los Angeles County. Most are with the National Forestry Commission and the Civil Relief Corps, with others coming from the Mexican Army.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum rejects Trump's vow to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and points to a 17th century map of greater Mexico: “We are going to call it América Mexicana. It sounds pretty, no?”

If a church doesn’t have a food pantry or a soup kitchen or a closet full of clothes and blankets open to the public or isn’t showing up at natural disasters to help, why does that church have a tax-exempt status?

Quick old fashioned before going home

I voted for Hillary Clinton and it led to my banishment. My shunning. I have been cast in a role that I can’t quit playing and they can’t forgive me. A drama without a curtain. A skit that drags on until it is no longer funny and folks turn away in embarrassment. open.substack.com/pub/jesspipe...
