The outcome of Brazil's election literally saved the entire planet. The Amazon rainforest would've been decimated under the fascist Bolsonaro. Massive amounts of carbon would have been released, and everyone on Earth would've been deeply impacted by extreme global warming.

Mayor Mamdani and the New Your City Rent Guidelines Board just agreed to freeze rent for nearly one million rent stabilized apartments in NYC! This is more than 40% of all apartments across the five boroughs. This is going to help so many New Yorkers and model rent control for other cities.

Kohen Wiley, a 1-year-old child, is dead after a Mississippi police officer shot into a car and killed him. Family members say his mother was holding him in the passenger seat. The officers were responding to a shoplifting call over a box of diapers at the Senatobia Walmart.

It was a really stupid idea to host the World Cup here. There were plenty of opportunities to change locations. Yes it would have cost a lot of money but at least non-white players, officials & fans would be allowed to play coach & attend the games. The president of FIFA should be ousted asap.
