Saying the product of the kidneys is urine is like saying the product of a factory is pollution. Urine is a by-product. The product is homeostasis. COI: https://pbfluids.com/about/

This is horrible. The IRB failed in the most basic RCT question, "Would you feel comfortable if your miserably nephrotic grandmother was randomized to the placebo group."

Agree - it would likely be a N of 1000 + trial, and one would need funding of Ritux for control + Obi for intervention. Also, note when Tac was stopped per @brycebarr.bsky.social above! www.kireports.org/article/S246... from Ruggenenti et al in @kireports.bsky.social with same thoughts #ERA26

I bet this was a central IRB selected and paid by the investigators. And they knew that if they played hard ball they would be bypassed for a different, more morally lax, IRB

Dr. Fauci came to Stanford for Medicine grand rounds and shared a few reflections I thought were worth passing on: The first was about Operation Warp Speed and the current state of the NIH. As you’ll recall the first mRNA vax was developed at record speed. Fauci atttributes that success to 4 factors

If I told you ten years ago all of the Jeopardy winners, doctors, lawyers, stat-focused sports nerds, and premium shitposters escaped Twitter on a pirate ship to a website that was completely inhospitable to Nazis and phrenologists……. I don’t know, man, I’d be pretty excited.

PLEX is not a silver bullet in the treatment of AAV The guidelines have evolved overtime But the guidelines do not provide graded recommendations, only practice points #NephMadness #NKFClinicals

Here is the groups final rec except for the caveats which includes everyone with diffuse alveolar hemorrhage and CRRT And that was for the no PLEX team. #NKFClinicals

Topol suggested that radiologists should pivot from reading films, that would be a job AI would take over, and instead go talk with patients about the interpretation. This image is what this would look like. Radiologists chose the profession to be away from patients. #NKFClinicals
