Ladies and gentlemen, Valve KNUCKLES have left the building. There's been plenty rumour, but rumour is no foundation for spending £222 to extend life of over ten years of VR and three headset generations. Official Steam news, however, is. RIP knuckles. steampowered.com/hardware/valveindex
@pcgamer.com ruining a reasonable article about MIT research and full body control which could be fun in VR, with the arse end of last decade's stock VR photography.
New VR bundle. Somewhat spooky theme overall, but Blair Witch, I have played and remember despite it being a few years back already. I guess a story remembered is a good story in the telling.

From Martin Griffith: We’ve added Steam Frame support - available now in the latest #NoMansSky (Steam) experimental build! Eye-tracked foveated rendering is supported and should also work on other compatible headsets, including Meta Quest Pro and Pimax Crystal.
Spotted this on Gumtree. If you are in the north of England or south Scotland, could be worth a road trip. But as always with second hand, buyer beware. Valve Index VR Kit – Complete, Good Condition - Collection only. Price:£325 www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/v...

A guide for complete beginners to some of the gameplay, concepts, systems, language and outright tribal knowledge in #EliteDangerous that us old-timers take for granted :) /w @cmdrrheeney.bsky.social o7
This thread started with racing on wheels. Here's the second VR on wheels. I played to the top PVE ranks in around 45 hours. I found EA's WRC more accessible than its predecessor. Customised my settings to suit my racing, and had a really good time as the difficulty ramped. Will be back for more.
Anyways, that's days past the end of the "sale". There are always PCVR bargains to be had on Steam if you're looking for something new to play in your PCVR library. Check store.steampowered.com/sale/vr_spec...
A change of pace: Arcsine is a great looking puzzle platformer with controls just on the right side of complex. Scratching your head at how to complete the circuit will be followed by a sense of achievement clearing a level. Movement is fluid, visuals are consistent and well directed. Under two quid
Ending tonight on an all time fave of mine. Controls not intuitive but stick with it to be rewarded with a sci-fi epic dealing space trade, combat, missions and real live space adventures. I have huge respect for what was achieved with Rebirth back in 2017. I'm always happy to return to X Rebirth VR
New day, new picks... here's one that was recommended on my discord. I haven't played it, but Falcon Age gets LOVED (in bold) and repurchased a second time after playing first on Viveport Infinity, AND sits at Mostly Positive with 179 reviews on Steam. Trailer looks good. Just under a fiver.
Sticking to VR gaming offering story telling and world building, and being successful with it. I played through Ghost Town to a solid cliff hanger. A sequel would be most welcome. Really nice seeing a game set in the UK, and in the 80s! Supernatural without scares.
ConVRgence oozes post apocalypse chic. Not everyone's jam, but you know risking life and limb for the sake of the best haul you've ever had will keep you coming back. Interesting take on a solo extraction shooter with dark survival vibes. It's on my list here, and high in my backlog. 40% off!
Tonight stops at £1.79. If this not in your library, the perfect time to add it is now. It's antidote to I Am Your Beast's violence, the darkness of conVRgence, and the spinning of VMX. A great story with none too difficult puzzles, clever use of space in VR and well animated. Good story, well told.
Starting off with VMX. I got 13 hours in early early-access, and am due a return to see the recent updates. This is movement those with iron legs in VR crave. If you love throwing yourself around, enjoy skill based e-sports VR, don't miss this at a shade over a tenner. Multiplayer included.
An easy shout for VR because it's a super satisfying arcade blast, a well contained story, and scratches an itch of learning fastest routes through enemy positions. Jump off a cliff, kick, gun grab, shoot, followed up with knife toss. Easy. But just that bit smoother than last time. Addictive+fun.

Much chat on my stream tonight about this launch. Mostly the anecdotal evidence points to a majority already set with their existing VR provision, but there's interest nonetheless. Good luck to all to all those genuine VR users past, present and future trying to secure a Frame for their own use.

I had fun with this during a recent demo, probably a next fest thing. The puzzles, the use of light, dark and silhouette to build the 3D space in VR was satisfying. Looks simple, but stretches the brain. Check it out and wishlist on Steam.
8 days left XD store.steampowered.com/app/3969490/... #indiegamedev #pcvr #vrgaming #indiegaming #unreal
it's another day of this, unfortunately. Does it happen to coincide with the cycles of the moon?
Another day, another suite of opinions as to why VR has "failed". I'm off to my headset for the third time today and ignoring the armchair critics who can only equate success with dominating the entertainment industry. #pcvr
Killing fun in a sandbox. All @frontierdev.bsky.social had to do was let in-game market events play out for a few more days in Elite Dangerous, and ignore the vocal gatekeepers expressing frustration some were making a carrier in a day. Instead it's a rug pull, comms failure and an apology. 🤦♂️
www.reddit.com/r/EliteDange... "player feedback" - which single player gave feedback that making billions wasn't fun/rewarding/worth the grind? I got in first, but I share no delight in seeing the drawbridge raised. This is a poor decision with so few days left on the CG anyways.
Elder Scroll Oblivion, but in VR. Haven't tried it, but will be following its progress. github.com/Naragorn/OBVR #pcvr
