I led with Miss Piggy, but I can't pretend that seeing her was what I was most excited about. That privilege goes to the Mystic head from The Dark Crystal. I've seen a skeksis. I've seen Aughra. I've seen gelflings and podlings. But this is the first Mystic I've been in the presence of. 🤩

Just to be clear, the glamorous pig I'm referring to is the puppet, not the wonderful museum staff member in the background who was very kind and tried to answer my very specific Muppet nerd question. She is an awesome human being.

The Muppet nerd question was what era Miss Piggy this was. And it turns out this particular Miss Piggy was built specifically for display. They do have a show-used Miss Piggy in their collection as well from the 80s, around the Muppet Movie to Great Muppet Caper era. But we did not get to meet her.

Nothing hits that late 90s computer vibe like installing a Linux distro. It's way easier these days, but seeing under the hood keeps me feeling like the computer user rather than being used by the computer companies.
