Laura Siadak

Hi #PortfolioDay! I'm Laura, a traditional painter working in abstracted surreal fantasy themes. Most of my work is in watercolor. Lately it's been a lot of "getting lost in the woods, and how to find your way" Website fallenlights.net Patreon patreon.com/fallenlights Email laura@fallenlights.net

For the birthday fella!!! Do the thing!

Most of my shows for the year are over! I put Halloween, Watermelon Fest, and some other paintings and drawings up online here -> -> -> www.patreon.com/fallenlights... (post is public) #bsnm

You know who should really remove people from the voter rolls? Michigan. I moved out of the state in 2006 and they're STILL trying to get me to vote there.

Laika Studios made an amazing new stop-motion movie called Wildwood that was 16 years in the making! In the age of AI slop, it is incredible to see this real art made by human hands❤️ Please support it by going to the cinema when you're interested! Behind the scenes: youtu.be/gZy36NLObaU?...

HOLIDAY CARD VOTE Vote's up for patrons, what they pick is what I typically do for the card. So far "unicorn" is in the lead. Someone else suggested Eastern Dobsonflies, so you know... it might be strange. If you want a card, all tiers get one in December www.patreon.com/fallenlights...

Next week The Forgotten Princess, by Matthew Siadak ( @backwardsknight.com ) will be heading to backerkit! Extra stabby princess is involved. There's a stinky oaf. I'll also begin working on the cover early next year :) tinyurl.com/mwzuntvf <-backerkit link for more info! #bsnm

I know a lot of you folks aren't on FB anymore, and while I'll post things over here in a few days, I felt like I should give some folks a heads up. Putting art up now that I'm mostly done with shows, I started with Halloween, you can see stuff here -> facebook.com/groups/fallenlights

One spot left! This month is spooky art (well, quiet, dark, distant...) Mail will be heading out this week :) patreon.com/fallenlights #bsnm #Halloween

Bored of tidy, sensible romances in your fantasy? Want a love affair that's confusing, tumultuous, and sometimes unpleasant? No worries, mate: I've got your bad choices and saying the worst thing right here! The Exile and His Fool, a new novel 🌶️📚🌈 buy.bookfunnel.com/v3pfssfj6m

Dude thought he had a flawless gotcha and he ran into a rhetorical woodchipper

WIP of some of the watercolors that will head out next week! I went with a -feels like it might finally be spooky season- theme this year.

Almost to her goal, thank you everyone! tinyurl.com/5de62ba6

One more Farmer's Market tomorrow, two holiday ones, and then that's it. I can go hide away in the house until mid-Spring. This is The Haunted - watercolor, graphite powder, and gouache 5x7in

Halloween sketches have been posted! www.patreon.com/fallenlights...

Even the cookies are fed tf up.

From the sketchbook - played with one of the new watercolor paints from Schmincke, Tundra Green! It's gorgeous, 10/10 a new favorite. Painted in the Stillman and Birn Delta sketchbook which is an ivory cream color. #watercolor #dragons

Alright what's the over/under that they're gonna let me use this illustration as the example of various ways you can nature journal in my book? I don't see anything wrong with this, why wouldn't they let me use this?

GLIDE (2026) Acrylic - 24” x 36” Few paintings come easy…and that was almost the case here. I saw the environment in a dream but awoke before getting a complete visualization. The art went through a number of essential transformations before settling into a form that felt right to me. #art

#Boktober 07 Still attempting to do some chickens this month! The goal is not how many but that I fill a two page spread, so it'll be whatever fits and however many that ends up being. This is one of my sister's chickens :) #chickens #birds

Last day for voting! The choices are - animal, people, landscape, which is a silly question because it's almost always animal winning. If you'd LIKE a card IN THE MAIL, come hang out thru December. I need a headcount to know how many to get. This includes overseas! www.patreon.com/fallenlights...
